For each request, please include the following information:

Departure Airport:
Miles Needed:
Required Spend or Budget:
Available Travel Dates:
Required Metal or Codeshares okay*:

For each response. Please quote the original request. DO NOT START A SEPARATE THREAD.

----

NOTE: You will have greater chances of success if you have greater flexibility on travel dates and cost. If you need a lot of MQMs on weekends only for < 5 cpm it probably won't happen.

Other creative possibilities depending how many MQMs you need:
----

*"Required Metal or Codeshares" is, approximately, asking whether you need a flight operated specifically by Delta or if partner flights are ok. If you are just looking for MQMs to hit a Medallion tier the normal way, then the answer is yes. If you are doing a status challenge, the answer is also probably yes, but read the T&C of your challenge carefully to be sure (for the regular status challenge the answer is also "yes")

NOTE: some partner flights earn MQMs at reduced rates. See this chart for more info.

This time of year, with that budget, will be very difficult to get 32,000 MQMs. Perhaps canuck_traveler will have some creative options for you, though my first look did not find anything.

Dec 26, $754 IAD-ATL-LAX-OGG-LAX-ATL-IAD Basic Economy, ~9900 MQM, Return IAD at 5:25pm on Dec 27. When searching Delta.com select Dec 26 as the departure and return date.

There are variations of the above available on Dec 27, 28, and 29 in the $850 range - just use the flexible date search on delta.com.

Departure Airport: LAS
Miles Needed: 4300 for platinum though there's a chance i may pick up ~2250 on 12/31 las-atl-mco,
Required Spend or Budget: no hard budget but definitely would rather minimize budget in exchange for travel pain
Available Travel Dates: can do 12/20-12/24 or 12/26-12/30
Required Metal or Codeshares okay*: codeshares are fine, just need mqms, good on mqd's

Do you guys use the ITA matrix or something else? Programmer here, just curious how i can figure things solo going fwd.

Thx in advance.

I use ITA Matrix, Google Flights, and Delta.com flexible date search. Here's an option:

Dec 28 LAS-JFK-LAS (E) $448 4,496MQM

You've left it a bit late from a hub ...

Best I could find was MSP-DEN on Dec 30 $290, 1360 MQMs.

Year End MR

Departure Airport: BHM or ATL
Miles Needed: 5,500
Required Spend or Budget: $750
Available Travel Dates: December 22 - 31
Required Metal or Codeshares okay*: Delta

Ideally, I would like to keep this within the US and willing to make multiple stops/layovers.

You can do it in a single MR to OGG from BHM for $767 (BE) on Dec 30th for about 10,000 MQMs. 1 hour in OGG arriving back in BHM mid-afternoon of Dec 31

To keep the total price under $750, you do two trips

Dec 24, BHM - BNA, $248, 2000 MQMs
Dec 30-31, BHM - LAS, $426, 4500 MQMs (spend a night in LAS)

Hit Platinum— thanks!

Thanks Canuck travels and others—flew layover through Minneapolis to LA and then back through Seattle to hit Platinum by <200 MQMs!! Haven’t had this status before—any suggestions on what features to use?!

Thanks for the help from everyone on this thread!

Delta, Dec 6, JFK-LIH (via LAX), $699 (BE) / $764 (MC), about 10,000 MQMs, about 1 hour in LIH, return flight to JFK arrives shortly before 6pm on Dec. 7

Trying to get to Gold on Delta

Departure Airport: ATL (or Chattanooga CHA)
Miles Needed: 4200
Required Spend or Budget: I've already met the MQD spend requirement. Looking for cheapest option to get 4200 miles
Available Travel Dates: Any day between now and end of year
Required Metal or Codeshares okay*: Either okay as long as it gets me the required miles

I know I may not have a lot of options, but I thought I'd try this thread to see if what's out there. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

SO --
Departure Airport: CMH
Miles Needed: 3000 MQMs
Required Spend or Budget: Required spend already met, looking for cheapest option
Available travel dates: any day between now and end of the year

Me --
Departure Airport:
Miles Needed: 2200 MQMs
Required Spend or Budget: $1250 MQDs
Available travel dates: any between now and end of year
