Original premium fare deal was for QR J class travel, originating in Vietnam (SGN and HAN) to several destinations across the Americas, Europe, and Africa. Travel period 8/2017 - 3/2018 inclusive, RT fares in the USD 500 - 700 range (USD $0.05 base fare).

Reports have now been circulating that all held, non-purchased fares have been canceled by the airline. Some held and then purchased fares were also canceled, but several reports indicate at least some of those have been re-instated.

This wikipost is intended to help us better understand if there are any trends (by route, travel date, and/or held/ticketed status) in these cancellations. In all entries, please include: outbound or inbound departure date, origin-destination, original ticket status (only *if* "Held" or "Ticketed after Hold"), and current ticket status only *if* your ticket was cancelled ("Cancelled" or "Cancelled & Reinstated").

Depending on routing, of course, but would it be ideal to credit these flights to Avios. I think a r/t to Africa gets you pretty close to BA silver which is One World Sapphire eh?

Congrats to those who got on this!

I saw it when I randomly woke up at 5 am EU time. Didn't book though as I now have too much uncertainty in my life due to the future start of a new job, plus positioning-repositioning to Vietnam from Europe is quite a hassle.

Similar thoughts to yours. Not sure how they update / load their fares,there are plenty of tools to flag out such "bubu's".

For folks who booked, hope it'll be honored. If we make a mistake picking wrong dates or so on a restricted fare, we rarely get a break, especially not from QR.

This was a "Golden Ticket" promo. QR has done this a few times in the past where they secretly hid $0 fares. Given the fares were advertised as Golden Tickets, they will be honoured... this was not a mistake. Given Twitter activity, I suspect more surprises are in store within the next 12 hours.

Just google "Qatar Golden Ticket." Zero base fares, just pay taxes. That's exactly what happened here. Why all the angst about cancellation? This was a valid promo.

I have missed a few last legs or returns in the past, though not on QR, but never got charged. Does anybody have any real experience on this they could share with us? I could fly the return if push came to shove, would just have to rearrange a few other things as a result.

It was paid and ticketed, but I'm convinced something weird happened with my credit card. No charges ever showed up on my credit card, but I got the confirmation email saying payment was received. Everyone else seems to be okay, so I'm guessing it is just me...

No joking , we all know by heart that this is an error fare and QR won't honor it. In fact I call them for other booking but also had a small chitchat about this morning error fare. If QR is not honoring the tix, it is not because of my call but all the blogger around the world, onemile, secretfly and many many other blogs that spread this.

Yes it is coincident with golden tix promo. But how the hell they promo on all routing and almost everyday. Yes they are going to put 0 fare on SOME route on SOME date but screw up a lil.... is that I heard from QR office near me
