Original premium fare deal was for QR J class travel, originating in Vietnam (SGN and HAN) to several destinations across the Americas, Europe, and Africa. Travel period 8/2017 - 3/2018 inclusive, RT fares in the USD 500 - 700 range (USD $0.05 base fare).

Reports have now been circulating that all held, non-purchased fares have been canceled by the airline. Some held and then purchased fares were also canceled, but several reports indicate at least some of those have been re-instated.

For more information on flying Qatar Airways, visit the FT forum: Qatar Airways | Privilege Club. This thread in that forum is especially useful: Qatar Airways Forum Dashboard.

This wikipost is intended to help us better understand if there are any trends (by route, travel date, and/or held/ticketed status) in these cancellations. In all entries, please include: outbound or inbound departure date, origin-destination, original ticket status (only *if* "Held" or "Ticketed after Hold"), and current ticket status only *if* your ticket was cancelled ("Cancelled" or "Cancelled & Reinstated").

There's a specific thread on this, and they may also no longer be free. There's also a very helpful thread on doing a DIY tour. I'm also considering doing the tour on my upcoming trip, but am somewhat worried it will be fully booked by the time I arrive. If you end up doing the tour, please share your experience ^

Thank you for the link to the thread. I do believe that there is a cost for the tour. As fabulous as the lounge is, I don't want to spend 7 hours in it. I will most certainly report back if I go on the tour.

The tour can now be booked online, and has a cost of QAR 40.

I did end up going on the tour. I booked upon arrival for 40 QAR (~12 USD). You need to meet about 1 hour before the tour to pass through immigration. The tour did sell out. You are not limited to the city tour. They also offer a desert tour or you can rent a private driver. As far as tours go, it's more of a "drive around". The only place we got to spend any real time was at the Souk. That being said, I do recommend it because it was nice to see Doha. I left my luggage in one of the lockers in the lounge, but the bus also has storage if you want to bring your luggage with you. All in all, it was a good way to spend a few hours during a long layover.

If you need to know where the tour desk is- starting from the giant teddy bear walk towards the giant "B" that leads you to the B gates. You will walk right into it.

Just completed my last QR SGN/HAN-XXX ticket - that was a lot of miles flown. Wish I had booked more. No more flatbeds, hummus, pistachio rosewater sweets and rosé champagne. Sad times... until the next competitively priced QR fare

Hanoi is a mess of development now - apparently they're getting a Four Seasons?! I was shocked to find a shiny new starbucks and doubly so after seeing the baristas inside doing the Wakanda Forever salute - the times they are changing.

I also finished my last QR run in end-Feb, and also wish I booked more. As an AA Exp with a 2.2x bonus, these tickets were almost free. If only I had the foresight to book a few more - I'd have hit Exp before the end of March.

This is my most glorious "competitively priced" premium fare to date.

This. One more RT and I'd have cleared EXP again for '18 already.

Man, EXP for ~1600-1800USD out of pocket, that's gotta be a record in the new EQD era.

I had two booked for Jan and should have booked a third as well for EXP until Jan 2020. As it is I'll get that in May on a QR flight exCMB.
