XLTTADE8 that allowed booking into J, sounds like some dodgy Alitalia filing fares again, I am glad to stay well away from this one.

Mine is with the last segment on Air Berlin (AZ shown as J and AB as X): XLTTBDE1

If this gets honored, I'm doing OLCI tonight at 24:00, I will survive that last segment in economy....

Yup. Saudia.
Mine also shows J fare, with a X start for the fare basis. Email confirmation says business, so I'm not too worried if I need to do a charge-back.

Didn't book on this one. I was on the road and saw it too late. Maybe a good thing give AZ's situation.

2 years ago I booked an intra-EU flight on AZ, O-fare but all legs booked in C. Wouldn't be the first a fare base doesn't do what it's supposed to do.

So what does it mean if the fare basis starts with X? No miles for a business class seat?

I don't think anyone knows at this point. X is technically a economy ticket. But this fare basis doesn't exist anywhere that I could check (be it a GDS or EF) so either its a RBD issue with these OTAs or some weird fare that has an issue with the fare rules allowing one to book in J.

Guys just a quick update:
All Alitalia BER-FCO-NRT NRT-FCO-BER
My booking at first was searchable on Alitalia, Tripcase ticketed and came up on Saudia class J. Printed everything in pdf. Status was open for travel.
Now gone from Alitalia and tripcase, status void on Saudia, I guess that's life but they were swift on this one.

Well void says what it says; this means they are not honoring the tickets.
