For 320 Euro you could take poor mans business AirAsia angled lay flat for the 7hr flight OW to KUL and from there you have heaps of Island beach destinations within a few hrs or less and for very cheap in AirAsia economy.

Whow... the BRU-DOH-NRT and return, if you're an AA EXP can get under 2cpm redeemable. That's like old school 'mileage running' where the actual miles are worth it, not just the status.

I have booked IAH-SIN for $1881. Somewhat less wonderful than some of the ex-Eur fares, and even than some of the US-to-SEAsia fares people on this thread seemed to be getting on the first day of the sale. But this is for a business trip on which I would otherwise have flown AA and paid ~ $1300 + 2 SWUs + uncertainty/frustration about whether the SWUs would clear. And this way I get 1.5x AA EQMs, several thousand more EQDs, and tens of thousands more RDMs than if I'd flown AA, so I'm happy. The only downside I can think of is that OW Emeralds traveling business class don't seem to be able to use the QR First lounge in Doha, and the business class lounge surely won't be as nice as The Pier in HK.
