just wondering about the schmucks who booked, not reading this thread, and never got an e-mail from e-bookers telling them their itinerary has been changed.

I still have no communication from e-bookers, via their site, everything looks as it did the day I book it. I know AZ tampered with it, because I can't pull the itinerary up on the respective webiste...

Wonder how many people will be showing up at the airport with a non-ticket, e-ticket?

Originally booked on Priceline and ticketed on 006 stock for March travel:
DUS-AMS-ICN (KLM)
ICN-FCO-FLR (AZ flight numbers, 1st leg on KE metal)

Itinerary was changed this morning leaving the outbound intact, but changing the return to DUS-FCO-FLR.

This is why things are so confusing.

They are modifying the ticket, not cancelling it.

Cancellation would have been much simpler and easier for all parties involved.

But now we don't even know what segments are "OKTOFLY" and which are not. Especially from Alitalia's garbage website that won't even tell you your e-ticket number.

fixed for you.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is the first error fare where airlines have not cancelled the ticket, and just changed to whatever they felt like putting you on. And kept your money.

I'm able to make that new schedule work for me.

Expedia is trying to work that out with Alitalia.
The biggest thing is that you must check your new e-ticket from Alitalia and ensure that the new e-ticket has the other segments that you want to fly.

Your old one should have been voided, as you can check to see all flight coupons were "EXCHANGED" on Saudia's site.

You can't really rely on any PNRs because there's multiple e-tickets and Alitalia is not even cancelling segments or re-issuing e-tickets correctly.

2 scenarios (tickets) -

1. Got to the ticket and refunded before AZ could get to it, so I received written refund notice from Expedia from Alitalia.

2. AZ gotten control of the ticket and eBookers can't touch it now. Why didn't eBookers do something yesterday when it was still intact (when I asked yesterday)? Called AE and filed the dispute charge, AE was prompt to remove the charge (they said they'll contact me if more documentation is needed).

As for the first 1, I'd still dispute charge if they don't refund in time.

If they canceled the tickets outright, then anybody who decides to pursue the matter for remedy has some ground to stand on.

If they can get people to cancel themselves, it's quite brilliant... but unfortunately there is people who will challenge the action of them modifying the ticket.

How so?

I think this error fare is very much uncharted territory, not only in the "TRAVEL MUST NOT BE DIRECT" verbiage (as opposed to a numerical error) and also in the response of involuntarily re-routing tickets.

And the complaint email to CAA for flight flying outside the UK (within EU) is [email protected]

What are future credits? Are those 200 Euros to use on any future travel (i.e. flight, hotel, car rental etc.), or is this a point currency that results in some particular benefit? Thanks for clarifying!
