For each request, please include the following information:

Departure Airport:
Miles Needed:
Required Spend or Maximum Budget (choose one, and state the value):
Available Travel Dates:
Required Metal or Codeshares Okay:

Route(s) You've Already Searched:
Do you have a Chinese Visa (Yes/No)?

For each response. Please quote the original request. DO NOT START A NEW THREAD.
There are many good fares to China (PEK or PVG). If you have a Chinese visa, these options will be provided.

If your requested PQM is in a few thousand, please give a more accurate amount. You will get fewer options with a roundup number (eg, 5000 instead of 4830; IAD-SFO nonstop will work for the latter.)

If I were to get delayed (particularly on the MBJ flight but also looking at the 50 minute DFW split between the outbound and the return) would I have serious issues getting back or would I be able to get rebooked like normal? As long as I could get in by the next morning with the same $ and PQM then that would be fine. If I were to be downgraded to economy because of a forced change I wouldn’t lose the PQMs, correct?

You will be allowed to request for original routing credits (ORC) after the trip in case that you would be forced to change your flight (involuntary change).
If you are close to a million miller status, the EWR-PSC option will help the most. But the first-class run is more comfortable. I guess that the IAH-DFW aircraft will make an immediate turn. So, you will be okay with 1 h delay to catch IAH-LGA flight. Good luck.
It seems that you are a College of Williams and Marry graduate. I live nearby.

UA:$1094USD YYZ-NRT 7079+8085AQM W-fare (100% to AC)
Sat 30 Dec YYZ-EWR-NRT
(2h30m in TYO)
Mon 01 Jan NRT-LAX-IAD-YYZ
https://goo.gl/flights/hAnn

Both ticketed and operated by UA, so W-fare should equal W-fare.

Return flight is in 2018, so you start the year with 8kAQM.
Thanks for the help! AC just sent me the Altitude upgrade offer which is around $800 CAD plus taxes, don't know which I want to do ATM!

Singapore will be the easiest place for mileage runs for less than 800 Canadian dollars. Here is an example.

Find google flight search (https://www.google.com/flights/explo...3;d=2018-04-05), you can find cheap fares for many cities that you may be interested in visiting. Good luck.

If I'm reading the earning chart right, SJU looks promising:

UA:$611CAD YYC-SJU 5641EQM T/Q-fare (75% earning for TK)
Sat 02 Jun YYC-DEN-IAH-SJU
(1h00m in SJU)
Sun 03 Jun SJU-IAH-YYC
https://goo.gl/flights/Rfdb

7521 miles @75% = 5641 miles earned for TK
Connections are tight on this one, so make sure you use a CC that offers travel protection, in case you miss your connection at IAH on the return.

UA:$611CAD YYC-SJU 5408EQM T/Q-fare (75% earning for TK)
Mon 11 Jun YYC-IAH-SJU
(8h51m in SJU)
Tue 12 Jun SJU-ORD-YYC
https://goo.gl/flights/w1rz

7211 miles @75% = 5408 miles earned for TK

Preclearance on departure at YYC, no further immigration/customs until you return to YYC.

Although this fare is available later in the year, too far in advance is an invitation for schedule change that could mess up your mileage. (On the other hand, some are able to work that in their favor.)

For anyone interested, UA-operated chart for TK is here: https://p.turkishairlines.com/en-us/...nes/index.html

UPDATE: options above now down a little to $560CAD for T/V-fare (still 75% earning).

Happy 2018 and shoutout to those that helped people earn/re-earn their desired status!

Need to earn EQMs in order to maintain UA Gold beyond status match period.

Departure Airport: SFO, OAK, SJC, LAX
Miles Needed: 12,500 minimum (happy to take more)
Required Spend or Budget: Least spend possible. Seeing $573 for SFO-HKG-SFO but want to visit some other location, ideally exotic like Bali or Morocco so we can combine a mileage run with a holiday. These two places though are pricing over $1,000 pp so no go.
Available Travel Dates: February 15 - 20 2018. 1 or 2 days +/- to these works just fine.
Required Metal or Codeshares okay: Flights operated by United or United Express only

Maybe I'm not understanding your request...UA and UX don't fly to Bali or Morocco, so there's no way to do "Flights operated by United or United Express only" and get to those places. And are you looking for a 1-2 day mileage run? Or saying Feb 15-20 +/- 1-2 days, which would be more like Feb 13-Feb 22? Sorry...just trying to make sure we all understand!

Apologies for the confusion, let me fix it

You're spot on that UA doesn't fly all the way to Bali or Morocco. I mentioned those places only to give examples of exotic places that would be cool to visit, but that don't work for us for this effort due to spend of $1,000 pp. On the dates, I meant we're looking to do this mileage run in the Feb 15 - Feb 20 date range, as we figure that'll give us 2-3 days to explore wherever we go. Open to complex itineraries involving more than 1 country or extra stops that maximize EQM earn. If its better to expand that search range to the Feb 13 - Feb 22 we'd be open to that.

Another fix - the $573 R/T Economy fare I'm seeing is ex-LAX not SFO. That should net us 14k EQMs before any UA Gold bonuses. Wife is not really excited about seeing HKG or Macau so hoping the FT gang sees something better!

Still don't see what your budget is...presumably <$1000 pp? And assuming need to exclude not only HKG, but all of China? (That would mean SFO-PVG is out.)

Here's an option to enjoy SUMMER!

UA:$894 SFO-AKL 15278PQM UA/UAX=13933PQM
Sun 18 Feb SFO-AKL (arr Tue am)
Thu 22 Feb AKL-SYD-SFO
https://goo.gl/flights/Gxqy
AKL-SYD on NZ. 13933PQM on UA metal. They speak English.

And another idea in the tropics:

UA:$809 SMF-CGK 19887PQM UA/UAX=12639PQM (w/ 500mi min)
Thu 15 Feb SMF-DEN-NRT-CGK (arr Fri pm)
Tue 20 Feb CGK-NRT-LAX-SMF
https://goo.gl/flights/e4Yb
NRT-CGK-NRT on NH. 12639PQM on UA metal.

Similar pricing on other dates, so see what works for you.

To go along with the options that @wh6cto posted, here is the best deal I can find, though it may not fit your definition of "exotic":

UA:$864 SJC-BOM 201712 PQM, all on UA/UAX
Fri 16 Feb SJC-EWR-BOM
Wed 21 Feb BOM-EWR-DEN-SJC
https://goo.gl/flights/mDUz

You can also depart SJC on Thu 15 Feb, or Sat 17 Feb for the same price. Just change the departure date in Google flights.

That's right, between $500 and $750 would be my ideal budget but the options you've found look very enticing! Agreed on PVG, wife was not keen on anything in China after our experience in Beijing over the New Year's 2016. Ruined even Hong Kong for her!!

Love your suggestions, I think these will work quite well. Thanks so much!
