If you are just looking for MQMs to hit a Medallion tier the normal way, then the answer is yes. If you are doing a status challenge, the answer is also probably yes, but read the T&C of your challenge carefully to be sure (for the regular status challenge the answer is also "yes")

- signup bonuses for various DL-branded AMEX cards (usually have a spend requirement)
- if you already have planned travel, consider buying up (in advance, not at check in) for 50% MQM bonus and more flexible same-day-confirmed options which are another way to increase MQMs
- Hilton 250 MQMs per stay of 2 nights or more
- if you are close to a threshold Delta often will offer a buy-up (at exorbitant prices). 2016 thread, and speculation/anticipation thread for 2017

My winter vacation plans with fam are now shot to hell - son goes back to school 3 days earlier. Had to cancel trip I’ve had booked since July.
I’m gonna be 1130 mqm short of Delta platinum.
depart nyc/isp/bdl/hpn
free any day for a quick run.
Would be great to find a cool trip take the fam 12/25-1/2, but doubtful at this late date.

The last couple times I was faced with a choice of staying gold with big roll-over or nailing platinum, I opted to stay gold. But that was just my evaluation of the situation for me.

Not bad 10K MQM's for $900.
Now the 2nd option to OGG was no longer available. Everything is $1200 or over.
I need 10.000 more MQM's to hit Platinum. Already reached the MQD's.
Do you have 2 more options that are the cheapest possible within US, Canada or Europe with Delta? Preferably somewhere sunny I can lie on a beach for a day or 2
?

There are some MR to Las Vegas on the 18th and 19th for $300-$350 range. Gives about 4400 miles each.

It really depends upon your personal circumstances. Travel possibilities for next year are a big consideration, but there are others. How important is having platinum to you? Finances? Value of the platinum perks to you? Etc., etc..

LGA-MCO on 12/19 is $224 RT ($254 for Main Cabin). Be aware that you must get all MQM's in by 12/31 and any flights flown in 2018 will count towards 2018 totals (even if booked as part of a RT).

Late Bloomer. I have AMEX bonuses and a flight tomorrow. I will be 25,000 short of DM. Not sure if it is attainable this year but I can also work towards rollovers if I don’t make DM

On the Delta website, search for a NYC - DFW roundtrip ticket. Delta will bring up a list of routing options going to and returning from Dallas - just select the one going through Atlanta (the non-stop flights don't give enough miles.)

MR to ANC is about $944 and gives 7800 miles
