For each request, please include the following information:

Departure Airport:
Miles Needed:
Required Spend or Budget:
Available Travel Dates:
Required Metal or Codeshares okay*:

For each response. Please quote the original request. DO NOT START A SEPARATE THREAD.

----

NOTE: there is not much time left in 2017, given that travel tends to be expensive around holidays. You will have greater chances of success if you have greater flexibility on travel dates and cost. If you need a lot of MQMs on weekends only for < 5 cpm it probably won't happen.

Other creative possibilities depending how many MQMs you need:
----

*"Required Metal or Codeshares" is, approximately, asking whether you need a flight operated specifically by Delta or if partner flights are ok. If you are just looking for MQMs to hit a Medallion tier the normal way, then the answer is yes. If you are doing a status challenge, the answer is also probably yes, but read the T&C of your challenge carefully to be sure (for the regular status challenge the answer is also "yes")

NOTE: some partner flights earn MQMs at reduced rates. See this chart for more info.

Presumably, you will need positioning flights from MSP to NYC which would provide additional MQM's? You can do WAS-JNB on 12/7 - 12/9 from $767 and can earn over 19K MQM's with right routing. CHI-JNB is available from $850 and you can hidden-city the return through MSP (so you only need a one-way flight from MSP-CHI to position).

Departure Airport: BOS
Miles Needed: 1500 to get to silver
Required Spend or Budget:<$150
Available Travel Dates: Preferably a weekend day-turn
Required Metal or Codeshares okay*: yes

I thought my work would pay for a trip that would get me there but it fell through so now I'm planning my first mileage run. I've looked around and one that I found is BOS-ATL for $127. Based on a calculator it will give my 1890. Is this my best bet? I used Google Flights and closer airports seem to be more expensive.

one trip? not a chance. The circumference of the earth is 25K miles. You're talking a couple trips to South Asia or South Africa and 6 days of flying. Suggest you consider rolling over.

You can do SEA-DEN RT for $160.80 in BE and $220.80 in main cabin on 12/8. 2038 MQM's. Can route through MSP or LAX for a bit more money and boost your rollover MQM's. Could also do SEA-PIT via DTW on 12/16 for $258/$318. 4854 MQM's.
