Should we start a new Trick-it thread somewhere else, like SD or FW or such? There's no compelling reason why it can only be here at FT, is there? So if they no longer want it here, the web is wide... maybe we can even find a home where we could get immediate updates through RSS and never miss out on a deal!
That one thread saved me so much $$$ that I'd gladly pay if FT were a paid membership forum, thanks to that thread alone!

Folks, this isn't any different from Crime and Punishment or The Mill on the Floss, neither of which has been added to in a very long time. You can go back and re-read all of them whenever you like, and relive those magical moments with Raskolnikov, Maggie Tulliver, and FD.

You can still post great fares in the forum. Just add FD behind and the privileged few will figure it out and the foolish masses (like me), won't get it.

Missing it so I've been playing around w/ some fares to keep "in practice".

If we post fares like this:
1/21-1/25 SEA-MAD RT w/F* $4**.90a/i, w/o F* $6**.00a/i
There are still going to be a lot of people wanting to find out how to save their $***.
Alternatively, if we post fares like this:
1/21-1/25 SEA-MAD RT w/F* $4**.90a/i
Omitting the fare without F* just leaves them in the same spot 10 minutes later when they get frustrated because they are only able to pull it up on their own for $*** more.
We may just have to leave out the trick fares, and if there is a good discount put "try w/tricks" so those who know get a hint and those who don't aren't getting frustrated about the extra $$ they may be spending. But we are still going to have to deal with frustrated people wondering what the deal is up with these "tricks". IMHO I don't know what the best answer really is...

Naaah... I mean who gets to join? Who doesn't? I really liked the way it was handled in the old thread. I figured out some parts, but many I didn't and I am fine with it.
I mean we have to keep it a secret somehow, but keeping it away from public completely shoudn't be an option. You *can* learn this (like I did), and anyone who learned it may be able to contribute one day. In fact I have something to share
