@Bjornstrom

Did you find a cheap way to add the last leg from SYD to Melbourne?

Nope, I'll book that separately. I just wanted to book quickly. I believe they are taking away these prices because I got problems when I tried to book my second ticket so if you want in - book now!

Alright, thanks. It's $500 more from CPH so I would need to add another leg from CPH-ARN instead. Think I'll need to pass - can't convince the misses to tag along

I didn't ask - I just booked and showed her the itinerary. She isn't happy but not angry either. Women!

Hi Bjornstrom, can you see on the tkt, what is the farebasis and to which booking class it booked into? Is there anything said also about the cancellation fees, should I need to cancel it? I am considering to book, but not sure yet.... it is after all, oneworld

Hehe, that's what I should have done!
I find it pretty strange that it's half price to get the trip from ARN via HEL to SYD than from HEL to SYD, but I guess I don't understand the business well enough yet.

I'm pretty sure that this fare is a mistake since it's 50% more expensive to go ARN-HEL-PEK than ARN-HEL-HKG-SYD. I talked to Finnair and they seemed all happy about the fare.

€150 changing fee to change dates on the ticket if you call Finnair but they said that if I call Expedia they'll probably change it for free.

It seems like this is "D" class but it may also be mixed class since they are using multiple carriers (AY/CX/BA). I've got a ticket number and I can see the booking on CheckMyTrip but I can't see the booking class, any ideas how to see this?

if you have tkt number you can see the classes at http://eitr.amadeusasia.com/

150€ fee sounds like I class and that is 25% fare penalty if cancelled.

PS. MR rule number 1 - do not call the airline!!!!

Great find, and thanks for posting this! I was able to pull the flight after some playing with the dates on Expedia. Some dates pull it up, others not, and on some dates Expedia pulls the "the price has changed" trick. On my desired dates it's CX from HKG to SYD and on the return it's BA from SYD to BKK, Finnair metal the rest of the way. Again, thanks for sharing.

Only seems to work on xp, for some reason..
Brilliant fare; I've tried some random dates, seeing some scattered availability. Sometimes it's via HKG-(CX)-SYD, sometimes via BKK-(BA)-SYD.

Did anybody succeed in finding dates after April / May 2010?

Nice find izzik. ^
Last outbound date I'm seeing is end of March. Return seems to work through EOS. Tried dates in May, July, September.
