Thanks for the suggestion! Most US-based airlines don't usually have affiliate programs, but I'm also not sure I want to deal with the mess of an affiliate program for any airline or OTA website.

Some of these are found manually, but most of the scripts I have setup scraping data are setup mostly for myself and I just post some of the data here.

If I was going to start something like this it would probably be easier to do with hotel data since I have been importing that data into Splunk and could easily backup the discount with a graph/chart of the current rate and historical rates. The airline data I have is just numbers.

Hotels are easy--just get in touch with the hotel and talk to the FDM or GM and ask them what they can do to match an online price you're about to book that you found. Hotels pay up to 20% in commissions for OTA or even central reservation booked reservations, so booking direct saves them a serious chunk and they will gladly match the price since they save that 20%. At least this was how it was up to 2015 when my family finally left the industry.

If anybody is looking to get from Italy to Lima, Peru, there is a fare that is popping up on Google Flights that's basically half business class, half economy between Milan (MXP) and Lima (LIM) on Brussels Airways and Avianca. Works for a few dates in May and June and nearly every day as you head into the fall. Not sure who would want to fly about 8 hours in business and then 8 hours in economy, but I'll post it should anybody be interested since it does result in a savings of several hundred dollars.

Milan (MXP) to Lima (LIM) for 1281 EUR or $1412 USD on Brussels Airlines and Avianca Airlines. The Brussels operated flights are business and the Avianca flights are economy.

I see all these deals for mileage run and trying to understand the earning. I understand the basic, qualifying flights and dollar spend, but if anyone educate/point to the right post I would greatly appreciate. I have about about 2500$ each year from amex airline credit that I can put towards United Travel Bank Or Delta. Based in eastern NC. Base airports: OAJ, 40 mins to ILM or 2 hrs to RDU.
