Happy 2017!

Please use this thread to post or to follow Economy Fares which are 'Good Deals' but where the cost per mile is more than 3-4 cents per mile, which is the usual upper limit for what is considered a true 'MR Deal'.

A few requests for posting in the thread:
  • When posting 'Good deals' fares: please post the city pairs/airport codes and pricing in the body of the post and not just in the post title as it isn't visible for those reading it on mobile devices.
  • Note that you can subscribe to this thread: go to "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread and click on "Subscribe to this thread".
  • This is not a fare request thread. Any fare requests will be deleted.
  • This is not a how to book a fare thread.

Thanks, Is it standard for edreams to be about $15 cheaper each way for LCCs than any other booking site?

Don't know. Booked two tickets and both were ticketed instantly.

Am also seeing from IAD, IAH, DFW and FLL sub-$500. Free stopover allowed in DXB, so ya can make it a 2-fer. 7-day minimum and $156 in YQ "fat."

Dunno if I can think of a good reason to go to Baku, though.

CDG-DXB - 273 GBP, 309 EUR, Royal Jordanian, 17-21.03.18 but saw a few other dates in March too

10/11hrs in AMM and narrow-bodies!? Ouch! Have a look at OmanAir. They are slightly more expensive but you have shorter connections (total travel time 22h35min rather than 37h45min) and the main flight time on a 787 rather than two shorter flights on the A320. TK is another option. BA is ~100€ more.

BTW: By March '18 MCT will have opened their new terminal.

Thanks, I wasn't specifically looking so I didn't pay much attention to transit time tbh. Will keep in mind when I am looking at some concrete options for DXB

UA:$567 HKG-IAH 17127PQM 447PQD K-fare

For anyone hurting for miles out of HKG, this is possible on the last weekend of the year. At 3.3cpm, quite acceptable for an EOY status run:

UA:$567 HKG-IAH 17127PQM 447PQD K-fare
Sat 30 Dec HKG-NRT-IAH
(17h35m overnight in IAH)
Sun 31 Dec IAH-ORD-HKG
https://goo.gl/flights/i6fN
HKG-NRT on NH, the remainder on UA metal.

Also possible to do as HKG-IAD with same departure/arrival dates.
UA:$556 HKG-IAD 16971PQM 447PQD K-fare
https://goo.gl/flights/X4t7

Or to EWR a day earlier
UA:$550 HKG-EWR 16566PQM 447PQD K-fare
Fri 29 Dec HKG-EWR
(15h30m overnight in EWR)
Sat 30 Dec EWR-ORD-HKG
https://goo.gl/flights/xpBa
All UA metal.

100% PQM on UA. A lot less elsewhere. From a winter weather point-of-view, IAH is the best choice.

Might be useful to someone, HKG-DFW on AA for around $367. Probably better to credit to other FFPs, such as BAEC, as it's in 'O' class. Main Cabin Extra would be bearable I suppose!
