Sometimes MXP and MAD have worked too on JJ with fares around $ 480-520. Not sure of current availabilities.

Can do routings to BRU/AMS/VIE through FRA or MUC on the return so no one-way necessary when starting in FRA or MUC. (just forget to use the last leg..)
Can you please make a example how you make this routing ?
Flight i find only driect flights from EWR to BRU/AMS/VIE

By selecting individual flight rather than the whole itinerary. Price tends to be little higher.

No, there was availability in April for a little over 200 Euros after the OP's post -- didn't show on ITA or any of the US websites that I could find, but available on us.de

Couldn't find anything comparable to WAS or LAX, unfortunately.
