Happy 2017!

Please use this thread to post or to follow Economy Fares which are 'Good Deals' but where the cost per mile is more than 3-4 cents per mile, which is the usual upper limit for what is considered a true 'MR Deal'.

A few requests for posting in the thread:
  • When posting 'Good deals' fares: please post the city pairs/airport codes and pricing in the body of the post and not just in the post title as it isn't visible for those reading it on mobile devices.
  • Note that you can subscribe to this thread: go to "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread and click on "Subscribe to this thread".
  • This is not a fare request thread. Any fare requests will be deleted.
  • This is not a how to book a fare thread.

+1 re: MCE being bearable
Apr 4 Outbound (only 1 seat remaining!)
Apr 5 or 6 Inbound
$361

Noted some other dates - outbound Apr 24/25 & return Apr 26/27 or May 3 but nothing else beyond that.
Awesome deal -- book it before it's gone!
Pity I have another trip planned already ..

Not as good, but for those based in the U.S. I've seen LAX-HKG as low as $475. Right now, I see a few scattered days where it's $495, with a connection through DFW on the outbound.

How can a BE fare be considered as a MR? No mileage accrual.

This is the good deals thread for deals not worthy of being MRs. Actual MRs would be posted in their own thread.

I was in ORD a couple of weeks ago, and needed to get to Tampa one day early. United wanted $150 to change my flight, so I looked for alternatives and found a AA one way at $25! So I booked it.

Note: that was BE and they charged me $50 to check my carry-on which was too big to fit under the seat. I think it may have been cheaper for me to upgrade to regular economy at the time of booking, and, I would have been able to select a seat, get on the upgrade list, get credit for miles flown, etc., but I must have gotten too excited seeing the $25 fare and pulled the trigger too quickly.
