"Good Deals" in Economy Class - Excellent Fares between certain city pairs - 2013

Happy 2013!

Please use this thread to post or to follow Economy Fares which are 'Good Deals' but where the cost per mile is more than 3-4 cents per mile, which is the usual upper limit for what is considered a true 'MR Deal'.

A few requests for posting in the thread:

-members posting their deals please post the city pairs/airport codes and pricing in the body of the post and not just in the post title as it isn't visible for those reading it on mobile devices

-some members may be unaware that you can subscribe to this thread and to do that you can go to "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread and click on "Subscribe to this thread".

Dl: Stl - bos

Delta: STL - BOS $242.20 ai

Routing STL-MSP-BOS-MSP-STL for 3248 mi, 7.45 CPM

Not a fantastic MR, but a great fare to Boston with Sunday returns available.

Sorry - I should add that this is available Feb through March

EK: SFO-AKL/ADL from $1243ai 3.7cpm

EK: SFO-AKL $1243 33858 3.7cpm

Sample 2/12 - 2/15 SFO-DXB-BNE-AKL-SYD-DXB-SFO

I assume some will want to credit to AS. X fare so 50% EQM's I believe. Pushes the CPM up to 7.4, but not a bad way to earn a ton of AS miles.

Also available to ADL for a bit higher CPM

Thank you to tcook052 for organizing this thread.

I would suggest that these "deals" include those flights under 4 cpm whose relatively long minimum stays (more than 1 or 2 nights) make them unattractive from a purely MR perspective but still constitute excellent fares.

Would this suggestion put mileage runs in two different places? Becomes confusing where to put deals or where to look. Could miss some real gems because of the confusion. Just my opinion.
Safe travels everyone.

UA: ORF/IAD to SGN (Ho Chi Minh City) for < $1000

A lot of availability after Feb. 26. There may be other departure cities for this fare. The cpm is slightly over 5. But you get close to 20,000 miles if you add an extra stop. Good trip.

Just to add to the different EK ex-LAX/SFO/DEN/SEA from last year (basically, an EK sale)

starting from 1945:
Thread on EK with cpm ranging from 3.5, 3.7, to 4.5

With the good (skyward silver, AS and Jetblue miles)

and bad (crediting miles)

I don't know EK's upgrade policy with silver, but if after this run, you get EK upgrades, it'd be nice.[/QUOTE]

More related EK stuff here too:

Were you looking for some other specific carrier/alliance?

HA/ST: JFK-HNL-ICN $905 rt ai $4.7 cpm, 19,078m

The ST version of an NYC run to Asia. There's also a slightly cheaper HU flight, but it accrues no miles for major alliances. Still looking for my OW version, if someone can help

US/AA/DL: LAX - AUA ~$528 ~6cpm

Not an amazing deal, but a good price from the west coast for a vaca-run. I've paid more to AUA.

I found 6cpm on US, 6.2cpm on AA in Jan/Feb '13 in some quick searches.

admittedly i dont know the market but earlier today i saw some direct flights SFO-EWR and SFO-PHL for under $350 on UA, struck me as decent, but by no mean great. these fares were for nonstops only and started to become available in the matrix calendar around 3/10/2013 every day of the week.

Fourteen posts were just deleted, to keep this thread focused on actual fare deals.

Please only post fare deals here and please post the price and city pairs within the body of the post and not only in the title otherwise those viewing the thread on mobile devices won't be able to see the info.

Fare requests will also be deleted as this thread is only for sharing not-quite MR Deal-worthy fares (e.g. higher cost fares typically above ~5c per mile).

Thanks for your understanding. A number of higher-cost fares currently in MR Deals could be merged into this thread, so keep an eye out for more 'good deals' fares.

Happy New Year deal searching and booking.
