Happy 2017!

Please use this thread to post or to follow Economy Fares which are 'Good Deals' but where the cost per mile is more than 3-4 cents per mile, which is the usual upper limit for what is considered a true 'MR Deal'.

A few requests for posting in the thread:
  • When posting 'Good deals' fares: please post the city pairs/airport codes and pricing in the body of the post and not just in the post title as it isn't visible for those reading it on mobile devices.
  • Note that you can subscribe to this thread: go to "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread and click on "Subscribe to this thread".
  • This is not a fare request thread. Any fare requests will be deleted.
  • This is not a how to book a fare thread.

Frontier is starting new routes between ONT and SAT, and between IAD and SAT in October. So you could fly between ONT and IAD with a stop in SAT. Right now they have the SAVE75 code which bring the fare down to $100 roundtrip between Los Angeles (ONT is just east of Los Angeles) and Washington DC.

I like the layout of posts #289 and #290 above, very clear and easy to read. Can we continue, where possible and within reason, to post using this format?

Depends if we can figure out where he's copying and pasting them from. My first instinct was Jack's Flight Deals, but that's a slightly different format.

To clarify things, I am not copying and pasting from anywhere. The format however is inspired from a fellow blogger.

I find my own deals searching on Google flights and using the ITA matrix and post them here. Sometimes I include the original source which is my own blog.

The format makes it easy to understand what the deal is about.

Lax - lhr - got $428

Great Mileage run for November that I found, and have booked, is LAX - LHR - GOT roundtrip. Roughly 12,200 miles on AA and only $428. That's only 3.5 cents per mile. Definitely helps keep the status up and on to Platinum Pro or Executive Platinum. Plus, international lounge access for Platinum members and above!
