The below is from our moderator (taken from the first post of the thread - bolding is mine). Feel free to add more if necessary / as needed.

Happy 2014!

Please use this thread to post or to follow Economy Fares which are 'Good Deals' but where the cost per mile is more than 3-4 cents per mile, which is the usual upper limit for what is considered a true 'MR Deal'.

A few requests for posting in the thread:

-members posting their deals please post the city pairs/airport codes and pricing in the body of the post and not just in the post title as it isn't visible for those reading it on mobile devices (ETA: ...or in email alerts)

-some members may be unaware that you can subscribe to this thread and to do that you can go to "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread and click on "Subscribe to this thread".

I found it on ITA and double checked on Orbitz. There are more dates but if you put 8/31 and 9/9 into Orbitz and search for a round trip SFO-CKG, you'll find it. It's a seperate deal on Air China than the SFO-HKG. Also the base fares are super low whereas the other deal its an issue with the YQ so yeah its a completely different thing, just weird coincidence I guess.

Also you can get sub $600 r/t on Air China to some other cities in China (WUH, FOC to name two)

Weird, it still shows up me. You aren't putting in CGK are you instead of CKG? I mis-typed that in a couple times and it'd show $1000+ until I realized what I did.

I couldn't find it on ITA either, so it's not you And to be sure, that does happen from time to time. In this case, I found the fare on one of the European Ebookers sites (at 753 euro, which is a bit above but very close to 999 USD)

ETA: Looks like this is the V-class VLRIE fare which allows one free stopover and one stopover at 50 euro.

Yes this one does not show on ITA. Google flights makes it easy to switch departure/ arrival dates.

I'm gonna guess it's the same Dublin-South Pacific fare that keeps popping up here and there. Pretty sure it only earns 50%, at least the old one does.

I leave on mine in November.
