The below is from our moderator (taken from the first post of the thread - bolding is mine). Feel free to add more if necessary / as needed.
Happy 2014!
Please use this thread to post or to follow Economy Fares which are 'Good Deals' but where the cost per mile is more than 3-4 cents per mile, which is the usual upper limit for what is considered a true 'MR Deal'.
A few requests for posting in the thread:
-members posting their deals please post the city pairs/airport codes and pricing in the body of the post and not just in the post title as it isn't visible for those reading it on mobile devices (ETA: ...or in email alerts)
-some members may be unaware that you can subscribe to this thread and to do that you can go to "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread and click on "Subscribe to this thread".

Cheap Business class too
AA: MIA-LPB(La Paz, Bolivia) $543
It's only 6587 miles, which makes it a little over 8cpm(not a great deal, I know). The outbound is a direct flight and the return has a stop in VVI with no plane change. Dates are available throughout october and november. Allows EoE if you want to use this from another city.
Also available on Avianca for similar price, connecting in BOG.

US Airways - LGA-LGB via PHX,CLT $177
O/w US Airways - LGB-LGA via PHX,CLT $177
Transcon fare for $177 out of Long Beach to Laguardia - I don't know of any other two airports with only the end letter different for such a good fare!
Seeing sporadic availability now, with near everyday availability September-Mid December. Routes through Phoenix and (red-eye) to Charlotte some days, other day is an early AM to late night arrival.
Some decent fares from LGA to lots of places if you want to use this as a positioning flight.
With 500 mile minimums it works out to about 6.6 cpm, around 7 without.

US Airways has round-trip flights from Austin (AUS) to San Jose (SJC) for $189. This deal is very similar to the Houston – Oakland deal I posted earlier. Route has a short layover in Phoenix (PHX) each direction.

Short connections in MIA both ways.
Great availability from Jan 27, 2015 thru EOS. Some availability in October/November 2014. Looks to be Weds-sat departures, other days are $50 more.
Terrible CPM but south america deals ex-IAH are uncommon.

NYC -> FRA/VIE/SZG + HAJ -> YHZ starting at USD 645 on Star Alliance
Also: NYC -> FRA + FRA -> VIE + HAJ -> YHZ starting at USD 706
both in Nov/Dec
I've found this and it may be useful for myself. YMMV There may be many other dates available, or not.
Departure from NYC on Nov 12 going to FRA or VIE (Vienna) or SZG (Salzburg)
Departure from HAJ (Hanover) for YHZ (Halifax) on Dec 4 or 10 or 11
(probably more dates available)
The best prices I've seen are from USD 645 to USD 666 on ITA, and a single digit amount of dollars more on Priceline. Classes are usually K and L, so it is no mileage run material. We are talking about 7.7 Cents per mile travelled.
Examples for cheapest routings for Nov 12 incl the operating (!) carrier
EWR-FRA (LH or UA)
JFK-FRA (LH)
EWR-VIE (Tyrolean for OS)
JFK-VIE (Tyrolean for OS)
JFK-VIE-SZG (Tyrolean for OS - same price as just JFK-VIE!)
LGA-YUL-FRA (good choice if you collect on A3 as this is AC/ACExpress)
EWR-DUS-VIE (LH, Germanwings)
presumably EWR-VIE-SZG
Cheapest routings for the return part:
Dec 4 and 11: HAJ-BRU-YUL-YHZ (Flybe for BN to BRU, rest is AC)
Dec 10: HAJ-ZRH-YUL-YHZ (LX to YUL, then ACExpress)
The quoted prices include YQ of USD 290. If you go from NYC to FRA first, and add a flight FRA-VIE (for example the morning flight on Nov 14) to the same ticket, the price will moderately increase to ~USD 706.
To get to HAJ, use train, bus or Germanwings (the latter starting at Euro 33).
My reasoning: Flights from NYC to YHZ start at around USD 230 plus USD 25 for luggage, but often cost more. So such a "side trip" to Europe adds a mere USD 400 to the cost, including the ground sector to HAJ. Note: Hanover is not a good choice for sightseeing.
