Please use this thread to post or to follow Economy Fares which are 'Good Deals' but where the cost per mile is more than 3-4 cents per mile, which is the usual upper limit for what is considered a true 'MR Deal'.

This appears on ITA Matrix for Labor Day weekend (no vacation day needed - Saturday morning dp (possibly from ONT) via DFW both ways, return to LAX).
I don't track fares to HKG much, but for this fare and upgradability... Seems a good MR/Status Run *and* use of SWUs/eVIPs.

Looks like QR has some good deals between Chicago and Male, Maldives next month.
Sample dates: 8/4-8/11 for $1172, although many available in late July/early August. All routes appear to connect through Doha with quite high layovers (US passports will need a visa if they want to leave the terminal).
Booking code O (25%), otherwise this would be a borderline MR.

Seems to work only for outbound on 16 September. HK to Hanoi legs are in economy class.

Unfortunately VN "P" class is among the cheapest in Eco , no miles on DL , doubt it would bring good miles on another program .
