The below is from our moderator (taken from the first post of the thread - bolding is mine). Feel free to add more if necessary / as needed.

Happy 2014!

Please use this thread to post or to follow Economy Fares which are 'Good Deals' but where the cost per mile is more than 3-4 cents per mile, which is the usual upper limit for what is considered a true 'MR Deal'.

A few requests for posting in the thread:

-members posting their deals please post the city pairs/airport codes and pricing in the body of the post and not just in the post title as it isn't visible for those reading it on mobile devices (ETA: ...or in email alerts)

-some members may be unaware that you can subscribe to this thread and to do that you can go to "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread and click on "Subscribe to this thread".

Hello

Round trip eco : Orly (Paris) - Newark Liberty International (NJ) (New York) =515,1€ with OpenSkies (BA) (or BA or AA)

Using a 20% coupon set up by a French New-York's blogger

To download the coupon

Valid until October 31, 2014 for a flight between October 1, 2014 and April 30, 2015
On eco and eco prems.

The 20% coupon is also valid for a flight made with AA or BA and not necessary for NYC as final destination, but the city start for the trip seems to be PARIS only (ORL or CDG).

UA/DL/Others OSL-NYC/LAX/OTHERS $415+

I guess those OSL fares are still around. I need to be in HEL and have basically decided to make it 2 trips for the price of one by buying my tickets ex-OSL.

Lots of routings available and dates are pretty open with not much of an advance purchase needed. Other cities available, most likely where Norwegian flies.

CPH on OW is even cheaper. You can snag CPH-JFK-LHR/MAN for <$400, on a BA ticket. The AA ticket is a bit more, but still nice if you can apply some SWUs.

Various dates, into next year. $63 BF.

DUS-MIA on IB/BA for the summer vacation 2015 starting at 505€(IB)/516€(BA), striking opportunity available. Sample-dates Jun 29th to Jul. 13th. Not really MR-potential, but a very good fare for times when school is out of session.

Greetings - Dirk

My fellow Dallas-area FTers: I've got your vacation of a lifetime. . . a fabulous weekend in Red Deer!

AC: DFW/DAL-YQF, $284. K fare.

Sample dates: 06NOV - 11NOV.

You can route via YYZ both ways; ~4.8cpm (or SFO, DEN, ORD, IAH, etc if you want to change things up). I even saw some routings on Orbitz through both YVR and YYZ, which is ~3800 miles one-way! And, that doesn't even count any elite minimum for the YYC-YQF segment.

Send me a postcard!

Went skiing in Red Deer many, many years ago, but don't really know the town itself. Rather chilly in November, though you may experience Indian Summer.

Indian Summer is awesome in Nova Scotia. But Red Deer? Even Calgary had snow in the first week of September this year.

This is hilarious. I'm actually from Red Deer. Considering flying this distance intra-Canada is often around $800, this is a fantastic deal. As for the city itself, I can't say there's a ton to do there. But it is right in between Calgary and Edmonton (1.5 hr drive to both) and not too terribly far from Banff (3h drive). I guess for Americans, 3h drives are really long... Hmmmmmm. Anyway, hope this helps any potential bookers.

A 3 hour drive might be across town during rush hour in America.
