The below is from our moderator (taken from the first post of the thread - bolding is mine). Feel free to add more if necessary / as needed.

Happy 2014!

Please use this thread to post or to follow Economy Fares which are 'Good Deals' but where the cost per mile is more than 3-4 cents per mile, which is the usual upper limit for what is considered a true 'MR Deal'.

A few requests for posting in the thread:

-members posting their deals please post the city pairs/airport codes and pricing in the body of the post and not just in the post title as it isn't visible for those reading it on mobile devices (ETA: ...or in email alerts)

-some members may be unaware that you can subscribe to this thread and to do that you can go to "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread and click on "Subscribe to this thread".

Fare rules permit EoE with anything, so should be possible to get a cheap positioning flight on the same ticket. And it allows one stopover for $75. Not a bad deal.

You're welcome. I flew them once back in 2003 to MCO. They gave you a breakfast sandwich back then. I don't know if they still do.

Thanks for catching this. Also works for other cities in Peru. Route rules require the MEX-LIM flight, but and there are no international flights on to those cities not going through Lima, but some fun can be had, such as:
MEX-LIM-JUL-AQP-CUZ. AQP and CUZ are both great. $75 for one permitted stopover. With 500 min milage guarantee on aa, looking at <5 cpm. Would have been nice if one could route through SCL/EZE.

SLC <=> SAN on Alaska for $118rt through the end of August. Dates are very open - great deal for summer travel. SLC to SJC and BOI are also the same price, but fewer miles are earned. LAX and SFO are also at a nice discount for summer travel at around $158rt.

With the double-miles promo at http://www.alaskaair.com/www2/Promo/...C||&pid=AS1403 this comes down to 4.7cpm.

Additionally, there is a $50 coupon offer for new Mileage Plan members residing in Utah. Info is at http://www.alaskaair.com/content/dea...less-utah.aspx which could potentially bring your first flight down to 2.7cpm!

No, they're non-stop. Alaska is starting non-stop service to many west coast cities from SLC in June in response to Delta's build-up in Seattle.
