CO has the 24 hour refund policy, but I don't think anything beyond that

You could get the difference back minus the change fee I would assume?

UA GEG-SFO May 14-16/17 $160 ai!

This nonstop is rarely sold below 400 bucks, and I have NEVER seen it for anywhere near this price.

BWI-BDA 5/25-6/1 $253 ai

Wednesday to Wednesday roundtrip. Also good 5/24-6/1.

$253 ai on AirTran nonstop.

$267 ai on US, BWI-PHL-BDA. 5/24-6/1 only ($295 ai 5/25-6/1).

Found on Kayak.

It's a long stay with little notice, but I hope this is useful to someone.

Never done it myself but I think most airline charge you a $250 change fee so if the lower fare is at least $250 cheaper, it is worth to try changing it.

I can verify that yes, you can do it, but you will have to pay a change fee.

Yeah good fare indeed.

Continental has a special this weekend EWR-BOG 5/14-5/16 for $400ai. Would love to go, but must leave on Saturday and return Monday.

Also EWR-MEX on CO for $338ai same dates. Depart Saturday 5/14, return Monday 5/16

*A: ORD-MUC-IST ~$566 Oct-April, 5cpm

On travelocity.com and .bomb. Farecompare lists it at $497 but I haven't found that yet. Ankara and IZM also might be available.

As a warning--this books into L and is only on LH operated flights from the availability I see.
On CO, earnings appear to be 50% TATL, 0% EU

On UA...I'll copy and paste to let the FT people figure it out
Discount Economy
(within Europe but connecting to a transcontinental flight) T L 100% 100%
Discount Economy U 50% 50%
Discount Economy
(within Europe only) T L 0% 0%
No Mileage Credit X I O E 0% 0%

Does anybody know what that means, since the TATL is coded in L, too.

Thanks for the heads-up. I am seeing CO and UA metal TATL, though. And http://www.continental.com/CMS/en-US...spx?ItemId=298 says 0% within "Europe," 50% elsewhere.

I see it now too. I was on Matrix and it was only giving me single connections on the days I was searching. .bomb is better though

Edit to add: Apparently UA is unclear about what LH L earns. I dug for info, and a question came up at one point in the UA forum about earnings on LH TATL in L, and the poster was essentially told they'd have to find what LH bucket it maps to since L was only for EU flights. However, it was clear in that situation and in this one, LH is selling long haul tickets out of the L bucket.
In addition to CO, LH's M+M also credits as 50%.

Second edit: Apparently LH L earns 100%.
More digging: the phantom UA 497 ai that FC implies probably does not exist. It has taxes at 68, and the LH calculation on the same fare basis shows a more realistic 142.
Also, at this point, TK is now selling the nonstop for 505ai. Fares even lower filed to LH cities but none found on my searches.

Why are multiple airlines offering $500-600 ai fares to IST - this can't be a fare war? I want to purchase now but I need to check in with someone who isn't up at 3:30 am.....

TK flies non-stop to several destination in US, at very good prices. There are many Germans who prefer to fly XXX-IST-LAX or XXX-IST-IAD, so this seems like a logical move for LH/UA to move trafiic on their planes.
