Chinese food in Chicago's Chinatown

Anyone heard of a Cantonese dish of beef tendon? It could be on noodles, rice or by itself. I've looked at several restaurant websites and cannot find it in Chicago.

Alternatively, any recommendations for Chinese food in Chicago?

Not help with tendon as not something I look for - there are a few HK cafes in Chinatown that might have it.

For dim sum and Cantonese, Cai or Minghin in Chinatown. Qing Xiang Yuan for dumplings. Slurp Slurp for handpulled noodles. Homestyle taste for Northern/Dongbei. Do not go to Lao SzeChuan - I've heard good things about Szechuan JMC but haven't been there myself.

Searching chicago chinese restaurant "beef tendon" in Google turns up a few restaurants, and dropped the quotes yields a few more. I can't speak about personal experience with any of them but Sun Wah, which is great but has had enough health department shutdowns that I tend to avoid it.

Beef tendon

No experience with it myself but a Yelp search yielded quite a few:

to be a bit more specific, are you looking for Cantonese recommendations only? (or are other Chinese cuisines fine)

Cantonese recommendations preferred.

I can report that Yummy Yummy Noodles on S. Wentworth Ave. does have at least 3 variations of beef tendon and soup noodles. It was good.

Will be back in 2019 to try anything that Sweet Willie or others suggests.

Suggestion, send me a PM for next time you are in town, usually there are a few other FTers around who will come out for a dinner, more diners = more chances to try items off the menu !
