I had the same error in my account for about a week, but they fixed it eventually.

Mine is still messed up:

Earn 5,000 MegaBonus points with every 3rd paid stay, up to a total of 25,000 points from Sept. 15, 2008 - Jan. 15, 2009.

Progress Toward Goal You're on your way to earning 35,000 MegaBonus points, and can earn a total of 50,000 points.


If they dont fix it soon on their own, I'll eventually call the platinum line and get it straightened out. There is still plenty of time for that.

Is there a possibility that we'll get BOTH? Anyone with this in the profile that already had a stay? What does it states after the first stay was posted?

I stayed three nights last week (thanks Ike and Centerpoint!) and will post here when that hits my account. But I think the most interesting will be win I've completed 3 stays and when I've completed 25 more nights.

Time will tell (and then a call will fix, no doubt!)

I have a stay (one night). It is reporting %4 progress e.g. 1 out of 25 nights. I'd be very surprised if got both. Pleasantly surprised, but very surprised none the less.

I reread the thread and earlier posts make it seem as though, YMMV.

Now that the Promo has started, has anyone used a GC and can tell us whether the stay counted?

BTW, was it a plain GC or a DL/Marriott GC? iirc, they are both VISA issued, aren't they?

I paid with the DL/MR Gift card for two stays and received Megabonus credit for both.

My rate is 120$ per night + Taxes. To be on the safe side, I paid 115$ per night on the Gift Card (4 nights -460$) and paid the rest with my Visa Card. I can see the 4 nights qualifying for the Megabonus.

I just checked today, and I now have 3 nights and it is showing 3 out of 25 nights and %12. There is no longer any mention of the 5000 poimts for every 3rd stay. So it looks like MR has cleaned up my account properly. YMMV....

I am at 5/20 (25%) right now. I got the 5/20 promotion but I did email and got the extra for additional 5 nights. I should be able to make it easy on both counts.

I paid with Amex for the bill and closed the account with $1 on visa, but it did not take as a visa stay. Any idea on why not?

Good trick, but the VISA transaction needs to be the last transaction as well, i.e. the bill must be [end] closed by a VISA card.

Tried the 25K for 15, but it was different
 

I just tried to select 25K for 15 nights because I think that's all I can do this year. However, it defaulted to the every 3rd stay promo....what constitutes a stay? Is a night = to a stay? I'll be in Shanghai 16 nights.
