Cincinnati Rivercenter (Covington, KY). OPEN weekends. Attendent told me she realized most CLs are closed on the weekend. Didn't know why things happened to be different here. "They just are".

Nothing super-special here but a pretty decent little spread served by nice folks.

Marriott Champs Elysses

This hotel has no lounge but offers a GREAT breakfast to Platinums in the dining room.

Marriott Melville Long Island

Lounge closed on weekends. Breakfast coupons were given without asking. Coupons say they are only for the healthy start breakfast; however, we were able to have the full breakfast buffet without an additional charge.

Note: This was over Thanksgiving weekend and on Saturday and Sunday they only served the buffet (Friday morning they did serve from the menu as well as the buffet). I am not sure if all weekends are buffet only at this location or if it was just due to the holiday.

LHR Renaissance lounge is now closed weekends.

I can confirm County Hall and Chancery Court are both open weekends.

Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Point

This is an odd one, the concierge lounge is open on weekends during the season (April through September). What is odd is that during off season when closed they do not offer coupons for weekend platinum guests.

I was given a coupon after complaining, but who wants to vent in the morning?

During our discussion, I was told that they communicated with other hotels in the area. I then let them know that the Vancouver Marriott Airport (Richmond) offers vouchers on the weekends (See my earlier post). That was when they made a concession. I was told this was one time only which only served to bother me. I did make sure this was hotel policy. Thankfully, the servers in the dining room were great (and well rewarded).

Marriott Ogden, Utah:
Concierge level closed for the holidays and new bedding. Gave me a letter to flash the server for free breakfast each day during 2 night stay 12/23-12/25. Today after breakfast, they suddenly decided to not open the restaurant for Christmas day and only serve room service. My voucher for free breakfast in the restaurant instead of the Concierge level expires 12-25. Upon seeing the restaurant sign that they will be closed tomorrow, I stopped by the front desk to verify breakfast options - there are none other than room service. Front desk did advise that charges should be waived for me as a gold member with no other options. I immediately put my sign up for room service and plan to contest any charges with the morning management. Besides this drama, this is an great property with friendly staff, but still far too much confusion in the F&B dept.

No charge for the breakfast.

MR T&Cs do not provide for breakfast coupons when a lounge is closed on a weekend - only M through F. That said, I do not believe that the fact that a property chooses to open the lounge on a weekend for part of the year in any way obligates that property to provide coupons during the part of the year in which the lounge is not open.

In other words, my view is that any instance of the lounge being open on the weekend is a "bonus" -- and likewise, that being offered weekend coupons would also be a bonus.

Just my 2 cents.

I totally agree with your description of Marriott's policy in this regard. But having said that, I still request breakfast coupons on weekends. They are free to say no if they like, but they almost never do! I don't demand them, of course, just ask nicely. :)

Update on the Mayflower: Lounge open during the week; breakfast coupons provided on the weekend. Note that coupon says "continental breakfast", but hostess advises that coupon accepted for the full buffet. Also note that at least one previous poster was erroneously denied the coupons by the check-in person at the front desk, but upon later request was provided the coupons.
