As I indicated, unless someone else wants to pay the $750+/night x 2 nights/stays for any of the 4 currently open Editions or $400+/night x 2 nights/stays for two stays at some MVCs, I'm not gonna get that badge.

As pvn pointed out, you only have to stay at a brand for one night to qualify for that badge. It takes two nights to earn each brand-specific badge.

Just noticed that I keep receiving these badges (+25pts) for new brands I started staying at after the merger. But the badge overview page seems to be gone...

This year I have received a badge for the Ren (March), Moxy (April), Marriott (August). Note that only the Moxy stay was a new brand for me. Nothing for my first JW stay in April. Always scratched my head what this bonus was for till I found this thread by chance today. The more you know.....

I earned a brand badge post-merger. I was surprised to see the 25 points post. I figured they'd done away with that program since they removed the dashboard. At this point I suspect it's still running more as a symptom of poor planning than anything else.

I haven't seen any SPG badges and I've stayed at multiple SPG brands more than once.

Same for me, the badges I keep earning are for pre-merger Marriott brands that I (as a SPG loyalist) started staying at after the merger.

You need to stay at a brand twice to get its brand badge - at least that's what the rules said when the badges page was still up.

That's definitely not true for the 5 brand badge. I stayed this year at
Luxury Collection
Sheraton
St Regis
W
and finally at a single Fairfield stay and it was after the Fairfield stay I got my 50 points 5 badge stay.
And I've added an AC and Westin since then, but those haven't posted yet.
