** On or before May 30th, 2018** - ALL Chase Marriott cardholders that held the card as of March 15th, 2018, will receive:
** CHASE HAS CLOSED ACCOUNTS AS OF MARCH 15, 2018 **
By now you should have been notified that your Marriott Rewards® Visa® Credit Card will be closing on March 15, 2018. Here's what you need to know:
• CONTINUE EARNING.
You will still be able to continue to use your Marriott Rewards Visa Credit Card and earn points on eligible purchases through March 14, 2018. After that date, you will no longer be able to make purchases or earn points on your Marriott Rewards Visa Credit Card.
• USE YOUR POINTS.
This does not impact your Marriott Rewards account. You will still be able to access and use any points and benefits that you have earned.
If you have paid an annual fee for your card any time between April 2017 and December 2017, Chase Canada has said that they will give you a prorated rebate of the fee back as a statement credit on your account.
If, however, your annual renewal fee is due between January 2018 and March 2018, you will NOT have to pay it. You may continue to use your card until March 15, 2018
As a cardholder, you will still receive your 15 Elite Night Credits and Free Night Certificate, regardless of your anniversary date. They will be deposited into your Marriott Rewards account after March 14, 2018.
Existing Chase Marriott Visa cardholders will be given a special signup to the Amex SPG CC for 25,000 welcome points and $120/yr annual fee.

Information below is left here for reference only, so that others who applied before the deadline can refer to the info.
If you find a working application link buried in this thread and apply through it don't be surprised if you do not get the advertised welcome bonuses.

Tips:
- Go to marriott.com and apply for a Marriott Rewards account first, and have the member/account number ready during application. If you did NOT do this then Chase will create an account for you - look for the numbers on the lower left of your new Visa card, it may be displayed there.
- Spend at least $1 on your new card by the 9th of the month, so that the txn posts by the 11th onto your online account at Chase (https://online.chasecanada.ca).
- Seemingly, all Canadian Chase Marriott Visa accounts cycle on the 11th of the month. Points are posted by Chase to Marriott.com and the 50K points will appear by the 18th or 19th of the month.
- You will see the points posted on page 3 of your paper statement when it arrives in the postal mail. Chase does not provide Canadians with an online PDF statement, only transactions. If by the 19th you don't see points posted, double-check the Marriott Rewards number on your paper statement to ensure it matches your true account number, in case Chase messed up and created a new MR account on your behalf.
- When setting up payment for the card at online banking, look for "MARRIOTT VISA" as the card name.
- If using this card outside of Canada, ensure you prime the PIN onto the card at a CHIP/PIN terminal while IN Canada, before you leave for your trip. You cannot prime the card while in Europe (for eg.)
- YMMV, but if you decide to cancel this card, it is advisable to do it WELL before the anniversary date, as Chase may not pro-rate a refund.
- If you plan to use this card outside of Canada (no FX fees), you should call Chase to let them know, so your card won't get locked. I've never called when using it on extended travel in the US, but for sure I would call and let them know if I was going to use it elsewhere (Europe, Asia, Antarctica).
- If you log out of MARRIOTT.COM and notice an 80,000 point offer, it is a USA-only offer.

Yes the Marriott number on the CC matches my existing Marriott number. I'm hoping this is just a blip.
Charges have been put on the card so I hope the points will be given once the statement closes.
Edited to add: I called one agent and he said the 50k points as well as 15 nights should be credited to the account within 4-6 weeks after first purchase. I also asked when the statement closes and he said December 7.

What about your status...were you already Silver or higher before opening this card? If not, does your status now show Silver? This would have happened within 2 days after approval.
Agent quoting 4-6 weeks, is just basically a blanket statement. They will post within 7 days after your first statement cycles (with your first purchase listed).
Would be nice if you could report back on the 7th as your statement closing date...it's been the 11th of the month everywhere in Canada for the past few years.
Good luck.

I just applied for this card with the 50,000 offer and for some reason after I was approved, it appears as though I am being given 30,000 points not 50,000 points. I called the number and they said that there are 2 offers available, one for 30,000 points and the other for 50,000 points and that they have heard the same from others but I should just call them when I activate (instead of activating online) and they will verify that I get the 50,000 points. Has anyone experienced this?

I called after getting the card and they told me I am getting 30,000. But on my first statement, I actually got 50,0000 after all.

How does it "appear" if you just applied? I have never seen the points identified in the confirmation of application or approval in my previous appls.

To complete the details for interested persons:
-statement closed on the 11th despite being told the 7th.
-the 50k bonus points posted on the 18th (along with points from purchases) however the 15 elite nights did not post yet (which is strange) - still following up on this. my YTD nights in my profile did not change.

Great, that your card shows your correct existing Marriott number. Not sure if you want to go the extra distance and call Chase to double confirm it's on your card's file...just as a backup/double confirmation. Most likely the same, but who knows what may have happened. Or, you can approach it from the other end. Ask Marriott if they can locate a second account for you, under your name/address. I'm reaching here.

Still posting as 2X instead of 5X
Has anyone got the 5X to properly post.
I am on a 2 week adventure with Marriott to get the correct multiplier (it did 2X instead of 5X on the back of 2 SPG stays).

All hotels get 2x, it's a hidden bonus category.
I had 2x when I was in Australia in 2012 at a non Marriott hotel

Here are the two screens. The first screen is the offer on my Marriott online account clearly showing 50,000 points. The second screen is the page after clicking on the "Learn More and Apply" link on my Marriott online account which shows 30,000 points and NOT 50,000 points. In the end, after speaking with Chase Visa, they were able to adjust the offer so I should be receiving 50,000 not 30,000 points.

Data point for those with limited Canadian credit history: I moved to Canada four months ago and opened a Canadian bank account and received the Canadian SPG Amex. I was denied for the Chase Marriott card last week. Upon calling Chase Canada, the representative stated that you needed a minimum of two years of Canadian credit history to be approved for this card.

I'm seeing on RFD that many are getting rejected for this card - probably due to too many inquiries in the last three months? Any datapoints on here about that? I have applied for around 4 cards in the last month, so I should probably cool it for a couple before applying

Did you ask the rep how does anyone get that unless he provides the start? And if he suggested other products in the interim, then did you asked him why in a hell you would have business with Chase after 2 years when you can deal with other providers that are giving you the credit history?
