How do I get the current [70K | 80K | other] offer?
Which offer is better, X with annual fee waived or Y with no fee waiver?
Can I apply for this card and earn the bonus after doing so previously?
Once I meet the card's initial spending requirement, how soon will I receive my signup bonus points?
If I cancel my card after the annual free-night cert has posted, will I lose the cert?

As with all valuations, it depends in large part on the perspective of the individual, but I would consider 20K points to be worth much more than $75.
The advantage of the $75 credit is that it can be spent now, on anything (that is, it can cover anything you charge, whether or not a hotel room, up to the $75). The advantage of the 20K points is that you can usually redeem them for a savings of a penny a point (thus around $200 for 20,000 points) if you use them for a free hotel room.

I guarantee Chase/marriott would rather you take the 20,000 points as every person who uses the card will get the $75, only a certain % will ever use the points. A $200 room is not the same as $200 cash to the hotel but I get your point.

That's my motivation exactly. I'm hot on the trail of 3 nights at a R-C, and $75 gets me squat, but 70,000 miles plus what we already have plus all future CC earnings gets me well on my way.
And I've never had a mile or a point, in any program, go to waste. I can't believe people really let them die or fade away.

I think the offer is no longer valid or only available to select users
I was able to produce the 70K offer; however when I clicked 'apply now' a message reported "the offer you attempted to reach is no longer available" and redirected me to the 50k offer

You are correct, but several people said they had success contacting Chase directly. So I called just to see, and yes I was approved for the 70,000. If I had just given up because the link didn't work I wouldn't have the extra 20,000. (at least I hope I get them, will still have to wait and see).

If you can't get the 70,000 offer, the one above is not the very best that is out there right now. That would be the 50,000 plus the $75 credit. Go to the Marriott website. The one above will be on the first page. make a dummy booking - any hotel, anywhere. Look at every screen as you go through the process. The 50,000 plus $75 should pop up before you actually get to the end screen to book the room.
That's what happened to me, and was the offer I originally took.

I don't see the 70k point offer or the 50k plus 75 credit offer. Does anyone have a link?

Recently in the last month or so, has anyone confirmed getting both the 70k point bonus and the $75 statement credit? Which link did one click, the statement link, the 70k, or another link by calling in, etc?

I got an SM today confirming they are taking the $75 credit away and crediting me the 20K points. I responded Friday saying I would like this offer

20,000 pts or $75 statement credit?
I can apply for the 70,000 pts. without the $75 credit or the 50,000 pts. with a $75 statement credit. Which is a better deal? Thanks.

Wouldn't that entirely depend on what you plan to do with the 20,000 points?

I guess I would do what 99.9% people would do with them. Book a room. Why, is there something else you can do with them?
