I thought it was called an honor bar. If you don't fill out slip, does that mean you have no honor. Don't want to do business with you. If you are going to steal, steal Madoff big.

Taking drinks from an honor bar without signing = stealing.
Using discount codes for which you are not eligible = stealing. (The Avis board is redolent with the scent of illicit rentals.)
There aren't different degrees of integrity. You either have it, or you don't.

At $8/ glass, I am going to make sure I get a full glass. However, have you noticed that the glasses have gotten much smaller in many CL lounges? You are lucky to get 5oz.

As to your comment, I agree that is clearly theft...

...and as for the wine glasses getting smaller, I dunno, maybe they switched from red wine glasses to white. I'll have to see whats around next time i'm in a CL.

This is a very interesting thread, as an operator it's not suprising but it is called an Honor Bar, it's up to each person's personal set of ethics/morals to decide if they will record the drink's they've taken

Fill out the chit. It's the right thing to do. I always hope the attendant forgets to enter them into the system. This has happened twice!

You must be in the film industry, as your colleague sounds like Lindsay Lohan. Yep, the jewelry store only had the price tags and cash register for show! Sounds like a winning defense.

Pretty well said. I've never thought that those drinks were free and have always filled out the slips. Maybe that's why I sleep so well at Marriotts!
