Thanks! First official word on a 2011 promotion for any major hotel chain, way to go Marriott!

That url isn't right, or maybe was changed since the original post.
marriottrewards.com/megabonus worked for me.

Thanks! Great news to hear for the Corp Amex users!

Thanks for the early info.

As a major complaint has been the use of a particular card, this should go a long way in drowning the protest on this issue.

Same dates and (non) restrictions as last year. I believe for the last 2 or 3 years, the Spring megabonus has not required Visa and the fall has.

Good Morning, all.

My apologies. Additional information will be available once the official registration period begins December 16. In the interim, feel free to visit http://www.marriott.com/marriott/megabonus.mi for more information.

Again, sorry for the initial issues.

Regards,

Andrew

That's what I vaguely remember too.

Nice of Marriott to give advance notice though; makes easier planning.

Cheers.

Hopefully its a good one.

Too many weeks at home this fall.....Not sure I'm going to make the 50k megabonus by 1/15 yet. May have to hit a mattress run....

Good to see that the 'Use of Visa' restriction is lifted. It will make it much easier for Amex users to enjoy the benefits as well.

Damn , the two weeks from 15-1February i stay in Marriott hotels in several locations, no promo running at this time.

USFreak Dec 9, 2010 6:07 pm

I find that Visa is only restricted to the fall promos. Everything else is pretty much unrestricted. A few meeting promos are AMEX restricted, though.

Cannot get in with any link, is this a scam.

First, welcome to FT. Second, no it's not a scam. As Marriott Concierge mentioned, the promo goes live on December 16th for registration.

Cheers.
