Was yours also the cat 1-5 offer? So far, only one confirmed 1-5 offer prior to yours.

sard Jan 1, 2011 10:15 pm

You are correct.

My offer is for up to Cat 4.

Which means, it sucks even more =)

If I switch my preference to miles I get triple miles starting with my second stay.

35 nights gold here.

Are others seeing cat 1-5? Mine says 1-4. Two seperate promos?

are cat 5s worth it?
It seems like most "nice" hotels are cat 6.

The only Marriotts I've stayed at for vacation was:
Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel & Conference Center - cat 6
JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa - cat 6
CasaMagna Marriott Cancun Resort - cat 5

Man, I need to take more vacations.

Cat 5's will be nice f/s in second tier cities/locations or CY/FI in first tier cities/locations in my experience. NYC is above first tier city in my lingo. :)

NYC's Marriott Marquis for exampel is a cat 8, put the same hotel in St Louis for example and the same services and facilities would make it a cat 5 TOPS.

I'm booking vacation with wife for our 10yr anniversary to Kauai, HI. All Marriott properties on Kauai are cat 5 (1 CY = cat 4) - so yes, cat 5 is worth it. :D

My husband's account is only showing the offer that ends Jan 15. Guess I'll have to have him call.

Earn 25,000 bonus points after 15 paid nights. Earn an additional 15,000 bonus points after 20 paid nights (for a maximum of 40,000 points).

This is mine as well - I WONDER. If I use meetings for 10 nights credit, will it count? :)

Curious if there was a 30 Night/60K offer for the Fall Megabonus. I changed mine from 20N/40K to 25N/50K but would greatly prefer the 30N/60K promo, if available.

In today's email I got the usual pre-registered offer of 50k Mega Bonus points.

50,000 Points! New MegaBonus®
Earn 35,000 bonus points after 20 nights + 15,000 after 25 nights.

I would like to know this as well.

Logging into my MR account today (Jan 8, 2011), I was greeted with a big advertisement that says:

"Make your vacation dreams come true with Marriott Rewards Megabonus. Earn 1 free night for every 2nd paid stay"

I then clicked on the Register link, and was greeted with "Unfortunately, we cannot direct you to your requested promotion at this time. For assistance with promotion registration, please contact Marriott Rewards Customer Support."

I'm still working towards the Fall Megabonus (35k/20 nights or 50k/25 nights), so presumably this problem will resolve itself after Jan 15.

jk2 Jan 10, 2011 10:55 am

Will be 2 consecutive stays in the same property counted in Megabonus 2011 promotion? I will stay in Marriott Jan 30 - Feb 2 and I don't want to miss this opportunity to have this stay counted. If I rebook this original stay by 2 stays - one from Jan. 30 - Feb 1 and second stay from Feb 1 - Feb 2, will the second stay be eligible, since I'm staying consecutively?
