I just checked mine and it is ' Earn 35,000 bonus points after 20 paid nights. Earn an additional 15,000 points after 25 paid nights (for a maximum of 50,000 points).'

Certainly a good offer if you are already staying at Marriotts, but nothing like the Hyatt FFN offer.

Whoa, there's a Hyatt FFN kicking off too? My GP page just shows the Great 10K promo...no mention of an FFN.

My Marriott offer was 20 nights - 40k. I'll call and switch to the Cat 4 offer at some point after the new year...

I am not sure about the Hyatt FFN promotion I was just comparing it to the FFN promotion from last year. I am sure Hyatt will announce FFN promotion for 2011 sometime next year.

You should never give up on your dreams. So to help you make your travel dreams a reality, Marriott Rewards® is once again offering our popular MegaBonus® promotion.

Here's all you have to do to participate and to get once step closer to the vacation you've always wanted:

Register by selecting the "Register" button or by calling 888-MARRIOTT by March 31, 2011.

Stay at any of more than 3,300 participating hotels between February 1, 2011 and April 30, 2011.

Earn 1 free night for every 2nd paid stay, up to 2 FREE NIGHTS!

My offer isn't surprising, since I only have 4 nights with Marriott this year. It is sneaky that the Cat 1-4 restriction is only under Terms and Conditions, which requires an extra click.

It sounds like this is the exact same promo as this fall? Does Marriott ever do a multiple based promo? (like SPG's 2/3x base points or Hilton's) I appreciate that bonuses are just that... a bonus, but (please don't flame me for saying this... just trying to understand Marriott's logic here) it doesn't seem fair to me that if I stay in all CYs I can get the same number of bonus points as someone who stays in all JW properties.... or say... someone who books all basic category rooms vs. someone who books all suites.

If they haven't done this in the past, why doesn't Marriott reward based on the revenue they receive? They do this for the points earned for stays, but not for these bonuses. I am new to joining the Marriott camp, so I may have just missed past promos that worked like this.

My data point for the promo: 35k for 20 Nights / 15k for 25 Night

Twickenham Dec 15, 2010 2:07 pm

Got the free night for every other paid stay offer. Glad that I'm finally being given an attainable offer, rather than the 15/25 night one (changed fortunately).

Even so, looks like any Q1 stays I have will focus on IHG's Crack the Case promo.

gardener Dec 15, 2010 2:31 pm

I got stay 20 nites, get 35K - stay 25 get total of 50K.

Somewhat problematic as I am recently retired, have only 16 nites planned and would like to redeem points for some of them.

May ask to switch to fewer nights for fewer points. Will be interesting to see what the other choices are on the menu.

I received and was automatically registered for:

Earn 25,000 bonus points after 15 paid nights. Earn an additional 15,000 bonus points after 20 paid nights (for a maximum of 40,000 points).

Ditto. I SERIOUSLY doubt I will get even close, especially if Hyatt has something better (which they often do).

CPRich Dec 15, 2010 3:31 pm

35K/20, 50K/25 for me also. I'm not surprised that the 2 free nights wasn't the only offer, as hypothesized earlier.

So this is listed under "You're Registered", but under Details it says

Register by selecting the "Register" button or by calling 888-MARRIOTT by March 31, 2011.

and

Register today by enrolling online
But when I click on the "online" hyperlink, I go to a random Marriott Rewards page. I'm suspect I'm auto-enrolled, but I'm going to double-check.

So it looks like hotel hopping at SPG in Jan to get towards 2012 status, then 50 nights with Marriott to get within striking distance of lifetime status.

A free night for every 2nd stay up to 2 free nights isn't really great offer but better than 50000 points for 25 stays. What is 50000 points will get you, I suppose 2-3 free nights depending on where you claim your free stay so 2 free nights for 4 stays definitely is a better deal.

Don't get me wrong these are good promo from Marriott because it's free but considering there are so many great promos out there just doesn't make the ones Marriott has outstanding at all.

mjh5o Dec 15, 2010 5:38 pm

Anyone get an offer yet for 30 nights/60k points? I seem to remember these in past mega bonuses.

My offer was for 25k/15 nights, additional 15k for 20 nights. I'm really hoping to trade up to a max offer as I have a 90 day stay beginning in February.

bsdstone Dec 15, 2010 7:29 pm

I got the stay 2 get 1 free promo. Not thrilled about the 1-4 category limitation, but I've also got a night from my Visa...looking to use three of them in Orlando prior to our Disney cruise...

MSPDeltaDude Dec 15, 2010 7:41 pm

So I have stay Jan 24-Feb 4th wondering how many night I will get?

Rules read FAQ

"If I check in before February 1, 2011 or check out after April 30, 2011, do I still earn credit for that stay?

As long as one (1) eligible night occurs during the eligibility earning window (February 1, 2011 – April 30, 2011), a member would earn a credit for that stay toward their MegaBonus."

Does that mean I get credit for Feb 1st-Feb 4th? or the entire stay?

I was offered 35K for 20 and 50K for 25

The 60k offer that was available last year is simply not there this time around. I wish MR would be a bit more innovative with their promotions. It is every year exactly the same thing. Wh wouldn't they include an option for 100k for 50 paid nights or something similar, or 2k for each additional night above a certain tresh hold. Now that would make for an exciting promotion.
