I'm at the Minneapolis Airport Marriott right now, since Friday. No newspaper delivered to room on any day so far! Lounge closed on weekend. Papers available at front desk this morning, and just a few in the lounge (not to be removed, obviously).

I've had some not so hot experience with regards to getting the WSJ at non-FS properties that are not CY.
RI Tysons Corner - showed up for breakfast at 8:30 on a Tuesday morning and there were no papers except the USA Today. Breakfast was a zoo with 95 % of the guests being families on vacation. I found out from the front desk that they don't order any WSJ. I did manage to read a Washington Post left by a family, probably the only worthwhile local paper left IMO.
SHS Herndon - Ended up here a few weeks ago after the nearby CY Herndon Reston had no internet or phone service for several days when a Verizon crew dug into the ground and broke the cable that gave service for the entire block on the side of the CY.
Breakfast was actually a lot better than the RI in the Tysons Corner area, but they only had USA Today papers. I was in the area to close a car purchase and drop off a car rental, so I didn't make a huge fuss. Alas, someone managed to infect the lobby PC with a virus/trojan horse, which made printing a real pain in the neck.
In my limited experience, it seems like I cannot get a WSJ at RI and SHS properties, whereas the FS & CY properties I stay at tend to have plenty of WSJs.

The LAX Ren has been good about the paper since the recent change.... but this trip the toiletries are now Aveda (with about 30% less quantity per). Bar soap smaller, lotion is 1 oz where it used to be 1.5 oz.

Monday morning, I checked the entire hall on my floor (15) and on the C level (16), and it appeared that nobody got newspaper delivery of any kind. It seems that some full service properties may have interpreted this "enhancement" as "delivery to room discontinued completely, all 7 days of the week; just put a few somewhere in the lobby and maybe the C lounge."
That's quite a stretch from:
Any response from the OP?

If you enjoy getting the paper delivered to your room at Marriott, JW Marriott and Renaissance properties: You will continue to get the paper that you have selected in your profile.

Any Marriott Concierge Team members around??
Can y'all check on this for us???? Seems that many FS properties are messing up the papers...I have had issues at the PHL airport FS, the PHL Ren, Bridgewater, NJ FS. (and that is within the last 4 weeks!)
There were also a couple occasions when Select Service got like 20 papers for a 95% full almost 200 room hotel (the Gaithersburg, MD SHS for one....and the Inner Harbor (Baltimore, MD) CY.
This whole paper thing is the PITS! However, there are a couple that "get it" such as the Gaithersburg, MD Washingtonian Full Service, where I got them delievered on weekdays, and where the Sat and Sun Wash. Post were on the table 3 steps from my door!
I STILL say that it should be SOP for PPs, Ps and Golds to automatically get a paper at EVERY hotel, at their door, unless otherwise mentioned.

I agree that gold and higher should get a paper. The properties (FS and limited) that have papers are often the ones that are better run (they get the other little and big details right).

In reverse chronological order, the last 2 properties I referenced in this thread are the Louisville Marriott and the Cincinnati Marriott North. I previously stayed at both properties before the newspaper delivery "enhancement" and don't recall experiencing this problem.
