Personally I'm a big fan of King + Duke which is about 4 minutes walk from the St. Regis. They have one of the best burgers and steaks in the local Atlanta dining scene especially in the posh Buckhead area.

Anyone have recent experiences at the St. Regis Atlanta? Looking at a single night in July with an SNA to celebrate my wife's birthday. This will be our first St. Regis experience, so would love any tips. Also, anyone know how this property currently handles Elite Breakfast (via welcome gift selection)? Thanks in advance!

Single night stay. Hotel had confirmed SNA prior to arrival. Upon checkin they denied SNA and claimed they didn’t have any upgrades. The manager didn’t even bother to come to the front desk to chat. I was told to contact Marriott to get the SNA back. Not even an applogy or points or any recovery. Good hard product but service is really bad. Not even mediocre. Just bad. No one cares, not the valet, not the bell boy. If in Atlanta try the Ritz Downtown.

A very belated update. I reached out to the Lurker here as well as emailed C-Level management at Bonvoy as well as the Hotel GM. The hotel made it more than right... Points, as well as a generous breakfast allowance and promise of an upgrade for the next time.

Just finished a stay here as a Plat. I had a 50K cert to burn and this was only 59K for the night. Seemed like a great deal. The good:-Property as a whole is definitely up to StR standards and is by no means a "discount StR" the nightly rates reflect that. Clientele in this area of Atlanta is very rich. The vehicles at the valet are even nicer than the usual 5 star suspects. -surprisingly nice pool area considering the Location. -gym is very very good.-somewhat generous allotment of $80 for breakfast which can be used on room service. We were upgraded slightly to a deluxe balcony the day before arrival. The room is very spacious for what is basically their standard room layout. -baths here are huge. Unfortunately, ours had a drain leak and would not seal fully.-hvac works amazingly well.-was offered prosecco and macarons at check in, which is always a nice touch. -soundproofing is great, which is one of my big indicators that separates a true 5 stay property from an imposter. The bad:-TV is big, but for some reason, the screen quality is awful. Dark and flat picture.-wifi is fast here, but a LOT of stuff is blocked for no discernable reason. They have a very aggressive security block. -it is a myth that all StR have the same StR pillows and bedding that you see for sale on their website. My pillow at the StR Rome was the best pillow I've ever slept on. These were completely different and not so amazing. Mattress was good, though. -doormen here are incredibly inconsistent with being around to greet and get the door, if you care about such things.-their recent reno is inconsistent. Parts of the room seem like they were redone last month and other parts seem like they're from 2012.
