Yeah GUAVA, I can't recall...what's a couple hundred thousand starpoints...?
Read the full thread, you'll see I stayed there over a year ago, so as I stated in the last post, had you bothered to carefully read it, I'm not sure what combination of nights was cash vs points, but it was a lot of both. I do appreciate you reminding me the point cost, it has been a while since I was the first one on the flyertalk forums to report the 90k redemption.

W Retreat Maldives
Hey Guys
While researching Maldives hotels, I came across the W retreat. There isn't too much info on the forum on the resort, so I was wondering if anyone could update me on their experiences if any?
Some of the Travel Advisor forums have extremely polarized views, many by people who've never been there, but would "never go their (too "ipodish")
I understand that, but as a honeymoon destination for a young couple (26 and 24), and based on service and the quality of the overwater villas (what we would be interested in only), how is it?
Thanks!!! :-D

lots of w discussion here.
if no budget, id also suggest checking out huvafen fushi and OO reethi rah.
if you want service, only option is four seasons LG. their 2BR sunset overwater is probably best overwater at a less extreme price. lots of discussion in lux hotels forum. xracer posted report for 2BR overwater.
