The Grande Avantgarde Suites on the 23rd and 24th floors radiates the passion Le Méridien places in its perspective on contemporary accommodation with 162 square metres of fully-furnished modern sophistication and cultivated details. Floor-to-ceiling windows surround the suite from where the entire city of Bangkok including the Chao Phraya River unfolds.

The living room encompasses a dining table for eight persons, which can be serviced from its pantry. A steam room highlights the bathroom with exclusive toiletries, separate ultra-cool rain showers and oversized tubs, plus Japanese-style washlet.

I think the reports are that only limited floors are open, which would cut the number down. Also, wasn't it reported that they are removing the AvanteGarde Suite and converting that space to lounge?

Hotels that were previously ASQs are normally pretty good. Purely for Test and go purposes I would choose Courtyard by Marriott in a heart beat every time.
Have you some communication problem with Le Meridien concerning test & go ?

I sent one email today concerning one booking and I got one answer in only 9 minutes.

Both reports were right:

- Floors have been re-opening for about 3 months, so I would guess that a good number of them are now open.
- Regarding the Grande Avantgarde on the 24th floor, the change into a lounge was reported and confirmed, so the spoiled frequent guests will now only have the Big room on the 23rd floor, but who knows what the new GM will do with those generous upgrades.

The numbers, that I had copied and pasted, are not recent, but most numbers should still be accurate.

As mentioned above, they open not all of the suites due to renovation so you can try your luck for SNA. From my own experience, I never receive a suite upgrade here as Ambassador, but when I ask to move on the second or third day, they usually have it available and will give it to you.
I tried the one in the Wiki [email protected] and no reply for 3 or 4 days now. I'll try the one you mentioned thanks.

I have the same email address. I don't think that I have ever used [email protected] .

You might have more luck with an Assistant Front Office Manager: sasidhorn.arayachu@lemeridien.com

The Front Office Manager is Emilie Dolp.

For my stay ending late January i was in a corner room on floor 11.... it was the uppermost floor in use at that time. In the 6 weeks that have since passed I'm skeptical they've opened sufficient floors for the preponderance of suites to now be available.

I stayed there mid-December and my suite was also on the 11th floor, so the floor re-opening process seems to be extremely slow.

They were slow in my experience but not only that they sent generic replies and didn't answer what I asked. If you have received prompt replies then go for it.

Another plus point for CY - they were excellent on two occasions when I used them for ASQ and with the Thai pass rules changing they refunded me for day 5 without me even getting in touch with them - they emailed me.

I just stayed there this weekend. Was on the 14th floor, which I think they said was the highest floor now.

I have great experiences with Courtyard, though not for ASQ or T&G. Always a well-run operation.

I can also highly recommend Renaissance for T&G. Just did T&G there and was extremely good. Option for rapid test at nominal extra charge also greatly appreciated.
Day 1 came back in about 2.5 hours. Day 5 was under 1.5 hours.

Interestingly, I was not upgraded at all for this past weekend's visit, not even to corner room. It was pretty last minute, so I guess they were pretty full.

CY was excellent when it came to ASQ, I did my first quarantine there and the responses were always prompt. JW Marriott was quicker in responding than CY and I did my Test & Go there, I would strongly recommend them as well.

My recent stay had a 1,500 point bonus as part of the package. Looks like it didn't post with the regular points.

I will find some time this week to shoot them a note, but FYI to check on bonus points being awarded.

Thanks Robert. I just actually sent an email to their front desk staff, so will let that play out. They have typically been very responsive, so not anticipating any problems.
