Missing stays - been chasing for weeks - wont post this year i think

Ive been chasing a missing stay for weeks, it was at the W Abu Dhabi, its only a single night, but it does take me to 50 nights (currently on 49 nights). Its unlikely (based on progress so far) to post before the end of the year, will Marriott still award platinum if the stay gets posted after the new year (not the stay was early dec 2021).

Just had a missing stay post yesterday with the December 15th check-in date. Posting date was 12/29 but the stay date was 12/15.

If it slips to the next year to post your missing stay you should be fine.

I know it's frustrating, but the major hotel chains have the benefits of elite status run until February or March precisely to give themselves time for late December stays to trickle though. (without somebody losing their status benefits incorrectly for January stays)

I was an early December (December 7th) but yeah if platinums gets awarded early Jan (i have a late jan booking) then no real issue.
I'm Hilton plat too, and comms between hilton and me is usually pretty good, this was my first year to try and go for Marriott plat... i will say that in general comms with Marriot backoffice, some of the places i have stayed is terrible.... emails go unanswered or are simply vague... seems you need to ask at least 3 times for things to happen....

Having this issue as well. Should have 75 nights (less important since Marriott rolled over status again) but only 74 are posted and one currently missing from a stay beginning on the 23rd. Worried because the deadline to select Choice Benefits is January 7th and I want to make sure I can select the second set of benefits (FNA) for reaching 75 nights but wont be able too if the missing stay doesnt post in time.

My missing stay (checkout on December 18) was submitted via the online Missing Stay form on December 28 (the earliest possible date with all documentation included, including my calculation of eligible spend and PAG amount) and I got an email the next day saying the missing stay was added to my account.

The 3 missing nights got me to 76 for the year.

So just an update, the Marriott backoffice team (the ones that look after missing stays reports) have actually done good, i was a little harsh earlier. They chased the W - who sent me my bill, which i gave back to the backoffice team who have now done the work to add the missing stay, it did take a few attempts, but in fairness i think the issue was with the W, not the missing stays team. Yay platinum here i come.

Stay Missing (Completely!)

I was just about to complain about not getting points and elite-night for a one-night stay last week. (Checked out last Thursday and it's not monday). But now I just checked my credit card and I have not been billed for the room.

Anyone else ever have a delayed room charge? I mean I'm not gonna complain about the points if I'm saving $220! lol

Also, I see no place on the marriot site to see "past stays". Only UpComming and Canceled. Seems weird to me.

Hello JeremyTrav,

Stays usually post 3-5 business days after check out, but it can take up to 10. If your stay doesn't post by then, you can submit a missing stay request online. Please see our website here https://help.marriott.com/s/article/Article-22331 for more information. For instructions on viewing past stays, please see our website here https://help.marriott.com/s/article/Article-21841

Thanks,

Angry Missing stay resolution nightmares

Hey Folks,

Anyone else experiencing serious issues with stays not being credited on a somewhat regular basis?

Been trying for months now to get stays credited - I get the following responses from either phone or email.
  • Reply that they were sorry, and that the stays are now posted successfully and should be in the account in 24 hours. -They never arrive
  • That they have to contact the hotel and should be resolved within 5 business days. -It's not
  • That they will resolve in in 45 business days!!! -What!
  • That the stay has already been posted, explain that the wrong amount of points are posted even though the concern was clear in the form. -Radio silence when replied to
  • That a supervisor will call me back on my cell tomorrow. -No calls

As an elite member this is super upsetting, but even worse leading up to both holiday season and status evaluation. Lots of the properties I want have now exhausted their rewards inventory - all because Marriott can't manage customer support cases for elite members. I've spent so long on this now

Anyone have any ideas or any emails to escalate too? At this point if Hyatt offered a status match I'd be out of here.

First paid Marriott stay last week in over a year. 3 days and counting and points crediting. Forgot how awful Marriott IT is. Im sure like the OP I will have to go through some convoluted process to get these credited. Will be worth about $.04 CPP come Jan anyways so not the end of the world.

We are sorry about this.

Could you send an email to below email address with your name, account number, reservation details and enclosing the folio as email attachment so we can check for you?

Please let us know if you need further assistance.
