Transfer Prices
Shared Speedboat (45mins) - $901 per adult, $339 per child 3-11, 2 and under free
Private 48' Speedboat - $2800 per person
Yacht transfer no longer offered as a paid option as of February 2022, but there are reports of the
hotel offering it at their discretion

Shared Seaplane (10 mins) - $1,400 per adult, $700 per child 3-11, 2 and under free
Private Seaplane - $9.500

This cost applies to all guests, regardless of cash booking vs. points booking.

Miscellaneous
Island time: The resort has the clock set one hour ahead of Malé, so the time is GMT +6 hours. Many resorts in the Maldives do this for sunset viewing purposes.

The price quoted on your confirmation is already inclusive of tax, but GST went up from 12% to 16% as of Jan 1, 2023. So with the new GST, it would be ~$1,396.

The $1730.25 includes the resort’s rate hike on the transfer. Insist on them charging you the price quoted in your confirmation.

I'll be there at the end of March 2023 (5 nights). Booked in October 2022 and reservation shows transfer for 2 people - $1,356 and estimated government taxes & fees - $60. I haven't received request to pay so curious to see what that will be.

If you look on their website under Maps & Directions it still shows transfer for 1 person is $678.

I booked on March 22, for March 23, and my confirmation shows $1416 USD for two. Not sure if it has anything to do with my Canadian account. Either way, that is much better than $1700+

Hi folks. Do you know if it's possible to arrange a third-party speedboat transfer? The hotel's $1730 is just ridiculously high. Thanks!

Hi, I'm from Canada as well. I booked back in March 2022 for this coming March where my confirmation showed 1416 USD. The other day the contacted me for me to pay for it but this time was 1720 USD, I questioned them why such an increase and they told me that the increase was due the transportation went up, so I email them back saying that they never had told me or communicate with me about this increase on price. They ended up honoring the old rate for transportation but you'll still have to pay the new tax of 16%. instead of 12%.

It is not. You have to use the hotel offered options for transfer.

There are a few opinions here that the Patina restaurants are better than the Ritz. There is also a blogger that claims the Patina has the best restaurants in all of the Maldives. I am an obsessive planner and have looked at the menus as well. So I will find out next week if I chose wisely including the Patina restaurants in our trip.

I do not recall it being salty. It was not the best my wife and I have had but it was decent.

I have to say I preferred the St Regis butter chicken, but I wouldn't suggest selecting your Maldives resort on just this alone!
