Comments: Got a lovely Gulf Suite (ground floor though). I think everyone who books a Gulf Suite would be disappointed to be next to the pool, so I think this is a room kept for Status Holders to be feel being appreciated. Had a very low corp rate (700AED) so nevertheless happy with it. Hotel was actually rather full despite Ramadan (mostly German/ Russian package holiday customers).

Comments: Run of the mill large convention hotel with very busy CL. No upgrade this time but was given a room that made it easy to get up to the CL on the 23rd floor, which I appreciated. The hotel is huge and some rooms are quite a hike to the CL. Occasionally in the past I have gotten unsolicited upgrades to a vice presidential or presidential suite. Not my favorite Philly Center City hotel, but always a reasonable, consistent choice.

i've never stayed here but had dinner at the saffron restaurant....excellent food....
