Since @uxb seems to be shirking their responsibilities, let's get the 2019 Bonvoy thread started.

If i've missed anything in adjusting the data to collect, please correct me.

My apologies. Failed congressional candidate uxb has been dealing with the big C and is indisposed. Also, I figured someone else would take up the mantle in 2019, but LSPG morale is at an epic low.

Property: Ritz Carlton Kyoto
Date(s): Feb (CNY)
Room booked: Deluxe, Guest room, 1 King
Room received: Deluxe, Guest room, 1 King
Elite Level: Ambassador
Award stay: yes, 5th night free award
Rate Type: Standard
LNF stay: no

Comments: Received a room directly looking at another building on the short side of the building. There really isn't anywhere to place suitcases. Received free breakfast which was amazing. Took advantage of the free art tour. Other free activities were fully booked. Nice stay but other than breakfast wasn't really impressed by any recognition.

This is way too much info. Corporate lurkers or properties reading Flyer Talk may be able to identify guests posting on here by dates, too.

I think we are much better off posting upgrades in individual property master thread or city/destination master threads where they are more likely to be read.

Corporate lurkers already know who all of us are, and you can bet that Marriott retains that info. Ask Starwood Lurkers 1-5 and they will tell you that I’m a gigantic PITA. In short, don’t participate if you don’t want to share.

I’m guessing we are consolidating success with failure here? Please advise cos I’m already experiencing a fail.

I think that if someone wants to see the experiences of others at a specific property, it is easier for them to search one thread than having to check the success thread and also the failure thread. Any reason seperate threads is the better solution for the consumer of the information?

I still think the upgrades should be in the property thread.

have my first 'bonvoy' stay coming up tomorrow at a jw marriott....would be interesting to know what status the property would be able to see on their system....hopefully they won't think lifetime titanium & current ambassador level is below platinum & i get some sort of an upgrade....

If you want an upgrade then check-in using the mobile application and send them a message, asking if they can confirm an upgrade pre-arrival.

I'm sure there are many more than just me who keep an eye on these consolidated upgrade success and failures threads to keep in touch with what's happening out there and take inspiration for our own travels.
