Even if they opened on the same day, did they open at the same hour, especially given the different time zones involved? I strongly doubt it. The couple times I stayed at a hotel on the day it opened (not necessarily Starriott), there was a specific time that the doors to the lobby were opened to the general public and checkiis were permitted.
ADDED: 50 points this morning for Executive Apartments. I not only got the question but I also guessed all three matches correctly on the first try in each case.

The only thing I've seen is I win 50 points if I'm already logged in and then play. But if I try to play - then have to log in, I just get an entry. It's no huge secret as all I've ever won was 50 points anyway.

as another metric, I spent $4-5k with spg this month - maybe thats part of it...
or maybe it's just random.
edit: played today after midnight rolled past. only got 50 pts...
