Isn’t it rainy season in September?

And does anyone understand the award pricing? Marriott doesn’t.

Out of curiosity, how did that conversation go?

”Would it be possible to pay up to a SOWV?”
”Yes of course, Sir. Would you like me to find out how much?”
”No, I’m good”

Is it also possible to pay to upgrade at check in?
i was originally going Sept 23-28 for 440k points in OVW, but amazingly 5 nights of reef garden suddenly opened up last night 2 days before that so I canceled and booked that for 240k instead.

Also have a booking for same dates at the W so I just need to pick which one to go to about a month before.

Not exactly. I asked if any upgrade for PPE to SOWV. Butler said no but will be available for a paid upgrade. No thanks

A little bit dated response, but my wife and I just booked 5 nights in August. There were not 60k rooms available anymore, but the offer was for an ocean view overwater for 88k/nt.

That's actually 5 100k nights and you get the 5th night free only for the 60k base portion FYI.

is it a bad time to visit maldives during July? I have a march reservation but it looks like It is going to be super hard for me to make the trip.
Im having difficulty getting PTO. It would be easiler for me to not fight with my manager and just porbably travel in july.
I also blocked a reservation in July but would it be a really bad time to visit maldives? will it be raining always?
has evenyone travelled during the wet season?

Inconsistently. They state that under 4 eat free. But, we were charged sometimes and other times we weren't (though every time we asked it was promptly removed).

When I was there I am sure it was 12 and under? As my 8yr old ate for free.

We went once shortly after opening and again last week (checked out earlier this week). They have made some cut backs since our first stay. Our butler specifically told us that one of those changes was kids eating for free.

On this trip, we were told under 4 is free. We were charged for meals for our 5 year old, but meals for our 1 year old were free (which was a little awkward differentiating which dishes should be charged and which shouldn't).
