Maybe it usually is...but was available for that time as an exception.

Nothing uncool about it. Just because one didn't get to enjoy something "extra" doesn't mean that no one else might get to enjoy it.

I was half-joking. But seriously, this is FT where people search for every bit of extra incentives. I've earned lifetime Titanium member, it wouldn't be such a push to ask for that service.

Asking for it is perfectly appropriate!

Expecting it, on the other hand, is another thing altogether. That would be an example of elite entitlement IMO.

My stay is in 2 weeks. Got an email from them asking me to provide additional info/ requests. What is something I should not skip to ask?
Any recommendation on dining?

I frankly don’t know why they don’t try to get more usage out of it. Our butler told us the car was broken for about two months because they have to fly a technician out to service the car then fly the parts in to fix the car, then fly the technician back out at some point to install the parts. The land cruiser we were picked up in was way more comfortable any how, but the novelty would have been cool. It was parked under a tree covered with a good layer of dirt and leaves when we were there two weeks ago. Wouldn’t have exactly been a regal transfer.

You mean like this? I took this August 9th. Poor thing needed a bath. They transported us in an SUV. It was very comfortable. I still wanted a picture of the Bentley!

booked GV for early Dec, just wondering if anyone else booked on points in Dec and if you received paid upgrade options for BV or OWV/SOWV

if yes, did you email them requesting upgrade options or they emailed you with an offer ?

thanks in advance

Not for your time frame, but we emailed them about upgrades and they responded with costs-this was for a stay that just ended. I imagine that you can do the same. If your stay is before Christmas, the price is likely not to be too bad.

May I ask how much cash they wanted to upgrade to an OWV from a GV booked on points?

Thanks.

Sure thing:

Overwater Villa with Pool at USD 246.40 per night
· Sunset Overwater Villa with Pool at USD 369.60 per night
· Overwater St. Regis Suite with Pool at USD 616.00 per night

Thanks. I'm going to ask them about my dates in February, I hope it won't be too much more than this. I would like to have a backup option to the JW Marriott because I'm waiting for that to open and the reviews to come out (if there are too many not so great reviews I'll go with the St Regis). With these or similar upgrade rates I would book GV with points and then upgrade to one of the first 2 options you mentioned.

I asked about upgrades in early Dec for OWV and SOWV, response was

"Kindly be advised that Overwater Villa with Pool is not available for upgrade, we are pleased to share with you the upgrade supplement rate for a Sunset Overwater Villa with Pool at USD 677.60 per night inclusive of the 23.2% government and service taxes."
seems like they getting booked out... price increased

I will be booking JW as well in Dec.

Just curious, what would be the chance of getting complementary upgrade from GV to OWV if available for titanium member?

well its been said they are only 4 GV on the island, so depending on how many book GV, good chance you will get moved to BV or OWV unless you are unlucky and have alot of ambassadors booking GV.

also depends when you book peak/off peak
