Looks like there hasn’t been much activity on this thread in a few years. I’m happy to report that renovations have been completed as of October 2022 (confirmed by the hotel). I have an upcoming 5-night stay next month, and am very much looking forward to it. My interactions so far with the hotel has been delightful as I’m planning a birthday vacation for my kiddo. Will update after my stay.

Might want to reply to the post that you want that FTer's feedback for so that they get a reminder to look back into this thread.Originally Posted by mejo

Thanks for the reminder DELee. I had a lovely stay at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront hotel! The staff is friendly and the rooms are all newly renovated, nice, and clean. As Bonvoy Gold, we were given an upgrade from their standard guestroom to a partial waterview room. I believe some of these rooms have just a large window and some had have a small balcony (not big enough for chairs or anything - just a couple people standing). Ours was the latter and it was quite nice. One annoying quirk was the AC would reset anytime the balcony door was opened, and anytime the AC started, it sounded like a jet engine due to the older systems that weren't upgraded during the renovation. Bring ear plugs if stuff like that bothers you. We got used it after a day, but the first night was an adjustment. We did not use the lounge as we didn't have access, but the hotel allows food delivery services to bring food to your door! That was quite handy when we wanted a quick breakfast or lunch before heading out. We also had room service a couple times, which was essentially carryout from their hotel restaurant (they come in takeout containers), but they also give you plates and utensils to use. We valeted a vehicle (a bit expensive, but expected for the area) and you can text them when you need it so it's ready when you get downstairs. They did forget my kiddo's birthday (the entire reason we went to Seattle in the first place), but after I reminded them, they got us a little individual sized cheesecake and some local chocolate with a card signed by the staff. It was very cute and sweet. My kiddo approved!! (Did not get to use the pool because it was closed for part of the time for maintenance, but when it reopened it was always PACKED.)
Unfortunately most of the other areas in Seattle (like the restaurants/shopping/Target and Pike Place Market area) was not as walkable due to the extensive construction around Seattle, which obviously was not the hotel's fault. The Lenora Street Pedestrian Bridge that connects the hotel area to the downtown area was closed due to neighboring construction, but we didn't know that ahead of time, so we had to turn back around, find a crosswalk to walk across the street to the other side of Alaskan Way, overshoot the downtown area, then walk back across Alaskan Way and up the Union Street Pedestrian Bridge. That detour doubled the walking distance for us. Hopefully Lenora reopens back up soon.

Lounge has evening service 7 days a week - breakfast in lounge M-F. Breakfast vouchers for restaurant on Saturday and Sunday are given and are valid for most entrees (minus like the salmon Benedict).
The Seattle Marriott Waterfront is a fine hotel - personally, I find it a bit too downhill (literally) for my taste. That being said, for American standards, this hotel works, but its not amazing. Here are my impressions:
I would consider coming back based on price.
Photos:

- Upgrade was just to Partial Water View - I think corners and water views were available - still no movement when I asked at check-in
- View towards mountains was nice but also was quite close to some office buildings and active train tracks
- Bed was comfortable, but covers need to be much thicker - plush mattress, plush pillows
- Shower pressure was fine - too much air so not super strong
- Offered late checkout - no issue with 4 PM
- No in-room Ambassador welcome gift, but destination fee includes a local cola and a bag of nuts and cherries
- M Club evening offering 7 days a week - enjoyed the chips and queso
- Weekend breakfast in restaurant is a la carte and includes most entrees - fried egg sandwich was really good - also ordered coffee - no check to sign
I would consider coming back based on price.

Stayed here past few days. I’ll echo the comments above. The hotel looks a bit worn out, but overall it was a good stay. I found all the staff to be efficient, professional, and cheery. I like the 24/7 M Club, which has limited food offerings in the evening even on weekends and a decent breakfast during the week. Four elevators for 8 floors, so never more than a few seconds wait. Decent fitness center.
If you’re considering staying here, I recommend calling the hotel to see if there is a cruise line departure during your stay. Boarding is right across the street from the hotel. If so, plan on the hotel being full the night before, the lobby packed with cruise ship passengers (some of whom may not even be hotel guests but just using the lobby as a departure lounge), and a really long line for the restaurant when it opens for breakfast the morning of the ship departure.

I also stayed here recently and found this hotel to be in poor taste. Tons of Cruise Passengers in the lobby and M Lounge that wasn't staying at the hotel (overheard conversations) and in general ... the only upside was the views from the room (when there wasn't a ship in port). The destination fee is also a cash grab, breakfast was weak, and to be honest if you're staying in Seattle you're better off staying nearby South Lake Union or more central to downtown/Pike at the Sheraton or Westin.Originally Posted by tarheelnj

What does the $25 destination fee include?
- Daily $25 Food & Beverage credit. Valid at any of our Restaurants and Mobile Dining
- Tickets to Wings over Washington at Miners Landing for two guests per stay
- One-time Welcome Gift of local chocolates from Seattle Chocolate Company
- Daily Enhanced High-speed internet access (Wi-Fi)
Does anyone have an email address for Seattle Marriott Waterfront? The pre-check-in email lists an address but that bounces. The sender's address, apparently for the GM, also bounces

In case it is useful for others in the future: my query was looking for confirmation in advance that a 4pm check out would be possible, when looking to book a room for day use (plat, booking for the previous night, and checking in 8am).
I did not get any replies on addresses from the pre-arrival email or an address provided after an online central customer services query. It would be great for email to work more reliably here.
However, the front desk staff were helpful when I asked on checking out from a prior longer booking, and I got confirmation via a message in the app shortly after checking in for the day-use booking.
The front desk also sorted out a room move after I found that the room booked for the longer stay did not match the description. The Marriott web site described the corner suite rooms as having a desk and ergonomic chair, but there was no desk at all (from memory 604)
