Maybe a little early on my part but I got a call from Citi a couple of weeks ago regarding large grocery store purchases. MS about 10K a month on a Premier. They wanted me to explain the large purchases as well as large money order payments. So far I haven't been shut down but feel like a dead man walking.

Yes, a single citi premier. Was doing 10k a month mostly through grocery GC's. Transactions were usually around 1k or 1.5k and had been at it for a little less than a year. The credit line on the card was 12k.

Just got shut down because I opened the WoH then tried an $8000 transx, had it decline, got on the phone, rep cleared the hold then told me to keep trying, triggered a manual overview, then shutdown.

I'm thinking about getting the Choice Hotels card from Wells Fargo to do grocery MS at 5X, but I'm afraid that WF would shut me down. Has anyone heard about shutdowns with this card?

Yes, Wells Fargo may shut down all your accounts, if they're not totally happy. For new CC accounts, WF is also known to lock accounts and have you go through reactivation.

Have not seen any DPs on those shut down by BOA being let back in, but no personal experience.
In general, with Amex and Citi products, fugett about it.....
with Chase, some DPs where people are permitted some return, but we actually don't know what 'value' they had or added to the bank (products that made Chase lots of money
)
Can you supply us with any details about your troubles with BOA and when they occurred?

I've had the card since it came out and I max out the CL each month with VGCs purchases at grocery stores without problems.
