Load using the physical card instead of using a barcode. The barcode load is a money service where ID gets checked and more restrictive customer limits get enforced by ID

Loaded infrequently, kept $5k in account. Although when I loaded, I usually loaded with barcode and card back to back
Can you be more specific in your activity. How much were you loading and how often? And how much did you withdraw and how often, specifically after a load?
Did you use your card for purchases? Did you purchase at WM at all?

Infor from the above will help those of us avoid the pitfalls that you obviously experienced. TIA for the DPs.

Got the same email today. Sad to be shattered, but it was only a matter of time with One card. I managed to keep my One account alive almost 10 months before today. Always kept my loads small, only ever loaded once per day. Had DD. Never kept a lot of money in there, because all the shut down reports I've read proved it wouldn't help.

Don't know if this had anything to do with it or not, but I also refused to use my One card to buy GC, until last week. I always wondered if the 3% cash back at Walmart would trigger on a GC purchase, but didn't want to give them that reason to shut me down.

Last week I decided I wanted to close my One account for my own reasons. However they awarded me a one time $15 back on any purchase $100 or greater. I thought "since I'm closing my account anyway, I'll try it and see". Bought a GC at Walmart, got the $15 back. I was going to close the account tonight, after work, but they beat me to it.

Now I'm blacklisted from One I'll bet. Should have shut down the account myself when I had the chance.

Do you know for those that have opt to close their account preemptively before they get the ban stick were able to open up the One account later on?

Bad timing on the account closure. Seems oddly strange that the day you were going to close your account they did it for you. Kudos for 10 months on keeping the One card alive.

Thats an interesting DP. Given their partnership, I wonder if One can see your purchases like L3 data

They are basically WM's bank, so I would not be surprised that they can see what you are buying at any WM.

Loading around $1000/month. Would load straight to Savings account using the barcode, and debit using the card. Withdrew 1x a month, but kept min balance to get the 5%.

Made purchases at WM due to the boost Spend XXX, get X back. Bought some game reload cards/grocery with the offers.

I don't know if reopening later would have been possible, but maybe I'll find out with my P2 card before they shutter that one!

damn that dont sound bad at all. I bet it was the gift card. I tried using OnePay to buy one actually and it got denied, so I bet they dont want you using those $5-$15 coupons for cash equivalents. I got a separate intro offer for 10% and Im going to try that elsewhere then.

But still, just buying 1 gift card is all it takes for them to put you on the ban stick especially if loading is pretty low at $1K. Seems pretty petty by One card to do that. It just seems like if you are going to use the One card for normal spend it is just better to use it without any bonuses so that there is no conflict and certainly not for any gift cards. Of course this is just based on all the info the OP has posted but man that sucks if it is that sensitive.

Are you planning to preemptively close the P2 card, wait and then try to reapply for it again? I think it would be best to wait a month or 2 just to clear it out of their system before trying.

Wait what? They just shuttered P2 card as well? How long have you had both cards? Did you do any offers like the other person? I assume you opened both cards at the same time.
