So the trick is to buy 500 VGC + 500 MGC, get the discount and use MGC only on last swipe.

New (targeted?) coupons for me outside of the traditional gas point redemption options: $3 off any Safeway branded merchandise and $5 off any $25 meat or seafood purchase. Since the latter explicitly says "cannot be combined," I assume that means I cannot stack with the 4 reward points for $7 off meat coupon.

The Just for U program, deals on gift cards, fuel rewards, and grocery rewards are all intertwined and interconnected, so let’s not draw strict lines. The discussion traffic on this thread is not particularly heavy, after all. (Just my perspective.)

To be fair, if you do a transaction with those personalized grocery offers, and somehow find some manufacturer coupons to go with the items you get, and throw some gift cards into the transaction, you may run into a scenario where the gift cards will be discounted depending how lucky you get with the functioning of the register. So I think it could be relevant to MS.

Sales, offers, and deals vary between divisions, market areas, and sometimes even individual stores. Since the specific store (that the J4U account was set to) was not mentioned, there's no way to tell. On the most part, deals added to your account in one division/banner do not work in others unless the other division/banner has the same deal available.
