I haven't been successful in placing a direct GCM order for Visas in several months. They always say my order can't be processed. I tried ordering from Simon online yesterday and got basically the same message. Is it basically the same processing system? Oddly, Blackhawk also owns giftcards.com, and they're happy to have my business. I've periodically done a couple thousand in orders from both GCM and giftcards.com over the years, generally to meet credit card sign up bonuses.

Does this mean I'm "banned" from GCM, and now Simon? Anything I can do about it? Is the process of banning fairly random? Given my modest level of purchasing activity, I would think just about "everyone" from flyertalk would be banned by now if they applied the standard they seem to be using with me. :) I wouldn't really care about this, but Simon now seems to have the best online Visa GC deal and I'd rather buy from them instead of giftcards.com.

Hmmm, so if you can't order from GCM you can't order from Simon online? That sucks for me. The appeal of Simon over giftcards.com for me is Simon's availability of the Five Back cards.

I guess I'll have to visit a Simon mall. I don't have one near my house, but they seem to be nationwide, so I'll hit one during my travels.

my local SM is 20 min away so I prefer it more than online Simon. It would change if there was online cashback site that works with Simon. Also I don't abuse GCM unless there is good deal.

Generally how much is the 'sweet spot' for purchasing 5 backs at Simon Malls? My work is connected to a Simon Mall and I walk to it every day for lunch...would be pretty easy to swing by every day around lunch and buy a couple of them...I went by today (was in office on Sunday...ugh) and asked how much I could buy, kid said $4k, but asked me to fill out a form that mentioned reporting my info to gov't to 'prevent money laundering and terrorism', so I politely declined and walked away...is it ok to fill out the form or generally should be avoided?

Just fill out the form, it's no big deal. Myself and many others regularly purchase 19x$500 cards at a time, not sure why he told you 4k. Daily limit is 10k but that includes fees.

fwiw, the only reason I think DH and I have dodged getting banned from GCM/GCdc is we have ordered from them only when there's advertised discounts/fee free offers. We don't go over their $15K limit individually or combined orders for our addy. Fingers crossed we don't pi$$ them, I have read many who ordered much less than us who got banned immediately and there are those who have ordered regularly for $15K monthly and their account remains active. No rhyme or reason on who they pick to ban. It is what it is.

Will they let u split the purchase on a few cards? I have a few cards, mainly chase, that have the CL to handle that, but not all

Edit: forgot to check what fees are in store, what are they again? and generally what is limit at CVS? 2.5k per store?

I have a purchase through TCB from 10/19 that has posted and paid out over two weeks ago and a purchase from 10/21 that has been confirmed but not payable. Interesting.
