I think it's a blessing for those who are stopped by cashiers/managers from using their FBs because the real issue will be seen in the next few days whether CVS will continue to pay CBs when they have officially exited from the FB program and it is THEIR timeline that will serve as their basis and not anyone else's. Though Simon sez it was going to be 20th, I don't know how they can explain why CVS is no longer on the list in THEIR website.

For most, gambling $4.95 per card is still worth their time and effort; for others, they're not willing to pay another fee w/o assurance CVS will pay the CBs.

at my go-to CVS, I just went by what cashier told me and when I saw the manager by the pharmacy I clarified the "memo" they just received. I have no complaints, since I've milked it since early October when gig came out. I'm giving business to the other merchants now while others are still focused on CVS.

No problem here. It is business as usual and over time the cashiers and PO people have actually become friendlier and they just know what I'm doing.

Folks please keep posting everyday till the end whether you have gotten CBs for the previous day. I have done some today so will update tomorrow.

Well my right arm is still fractured in six places regardless of what YOUR CVS is doing.

The other CVS in town took one look at me in my injured state and let me buy the full limit without question. It really is YMMV as always...

Worked just fine on a $500 VVGC in NC 2 seconds ago.

I'm seriously a bit worried for the upcoming week. I know CVS is going to get hit hard. Hopefully they don't go to cash only. That would be a big hit long term!

Hit it relatively hard but don't push it where you are clearly holding up lines and annoying the cashiers and managers!

Handing them a passport card definitely annoys the cashiers.

Should the link to the memo in the wiki be removed? Based on the current isse some seem to be having, it is somewhat deceiving consider the image was posted in 2014. These items have clearly not been cash only since 2014

The reference and memo in the wiki are for reloadable cards. Very useful and valid information. If folks can't distinguish between non-reloadable and reloadable cards, probably shouldn't be in this game.

If you read and comprehend the memo, you will find that it is in fact still true.

Strange.

I dont deal with MyVanilla or Vanilla Reloads etc. but I am surprised that PPMC is cash-only. I have been buying this for a long time, and have always pay with credit card.

I can confirm that at least 3 CVS stores in IN are still accepting credit/debit for OVs. I was able to use my passport to expand the limits - but it took the cashier about 3-5 minutes to key in all of my information. I may try a different store tomorrow but if it really takes that long I may just stick to my DL.

I bought $3,000 of OVs from CVS with FBs between yesterday and today, and had no problem.

PPMC is not on the list in the memo.

Purchased OV on 1/13 ran as debit for the 1st time. CBs have not posted yet. Never ran as debit before, ran as credit before and it took 48 hours. Not sure if I should be worried.
